Does TV static count as music
not really
It is a constant acoustic signal generated from cosmic background radiation as interpreted by your television set, but it lacks melody and harmonious distinction. So not music but still euphonious and relaxing like music. I love white noise tbh.
Music is like morality. Objectively speaking, it does not exist and yet we are intuitively aware of such a concept. Your sense of "music" is purely intuitive, as it should be.
True from a conceptual standpoint, but there are clear and well defined metrics for what constitutes music as well in scientific terms.
I think you are more correct than the definitions. Music is as You define it. That is what feels right imho.
Good post Tova.

it's usually just midwest emo shit and mixed indie influenced Yea Forumscore, lately i've been listening to a lot of late 90's/early 00's screamo, Orchid, Funeral Diner, pg99, Saetia, Love Lost But Not Forgotten (which is at the borders of grindcore/emoviolence), Raein, Majority Rule, Joshua Fit For Battle, City of Caterpillar and some emotional hardcore revival stuff, Glocca Morra, Snowing and other shit.

oh god, please spare me this..
Ok tha ks for the input Delaurentis
why do you know so many words to describe the music you like when you could just use "garbage"
i'm just kidding but seriously you used 19 musical adjectives in your post without repeating yourself once what the hell
it's just too much time wasted in this shithole in the past also i have formed a band with some friends a couple years ago, we are supposed to play covers most of the time but we just end up getting high and discussing genres in my friends basement so...yeah...it's kinda sad.
what do u listen to?
life is sad, at least you're having fun
i listen to a lot of different genres but lately i've been on a 90's grunge and late 50's/60's folk/country kick. a lot of Toadies, Nirvana's MTV unplugged album, Local H, Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash.
two very different songs i've had on repeat:

trance/edm, metal, country, classical, folk, motown 60s, bluegrass, electronica(kraftwerk-type)
im very happy for all the good taste s4rens
open the pod bay doors
i'm not very familiar with american folk, but 90's grunge, i've been a huge listener, mainly AiC, Silverchair, TAD, Screaming Trees, PJ, Mudhoney etc.
Nirvana's NY unplugged may be one of my all time favs acoustic live albums.
The Toadies are actually pretty good, one of those few bands that didn't come out of Seattle that still made solid grunge.
i'd actually never heard of silverchair, i'm listening now and it's bretty gud. screaming trees is one of my all time favorites. have a good one fren
the drums on that neil perry song..
