I like the main event better than the ladder match because it was an actual wrestling match instead of lucha nonsense.

The card should have been planned so the best match was the last match, and that last match must be the AEW title match. If that means cutting a ladder match then so be it.

If you wanted to watch wrestling after that ladder match you should have put on a Volk Han match not a fucking adam "here because I'm friends with the boys and dont have a drug problem" page

Page is overhyped midcard scum. Literally nothing special about him. Dude could be replaced by fucking chase owens and there wouldn't be a drop in quality of the show

He's 100 percent correct and it's sad you need to purposefully be wrong just to go against him and show us. The card should be structured so that the biggest in terms of crowd pull should be last, in order. The card was their best one yet but suffered from bad placement. Examples: The tag teams all did that tandem move where one guy holds the opponent on their shoulders, while their partner flips off the turnbuckle and hits a cutter. It isn't a finisher for most and killed the worth of the move. The Peurto Rico team debut had that as their big signature but we already saw it MULTIPLE times that night, stupid. Omega Pac was the big 1v1 and was what people would expect to be a showstealer, it should be ME or second last. Cody match could be a ME in its own right if they wanted to push 10 man harder, it had the Boomer bait with DDP, Arn and Tully, and was the biggest story wise, other matches pale when you realize everyone else is just fighting to fight and do moves. Ladder match you can't possibly top. Page Jericho had color but other than that it had nothing to compete with the moves of Kenny Pac, the story of Cody 10 faggot, or the spots of Bucks. What they should have done is split these actually decent to good matches up on all their shows so far. They had some fucking stinkers on other shows that could be cut, and you could have Cody ME one (Young Bucks Rhodes matches was stupid and shit), Bucks ME one (the other Lucha Bros matches were pointless and this one wasn't ruined by wink wink bs), Page Jericho ME another or do it the first night on t.v., Kenny Pac ME another (Kenny Cima should be t.v.)
I'm not complaing too much because this show was still a huge improvement, but if they just mixed the matches around and cut the shit out they would have had a couple of great cards all the way through.

This guy's a genuine brainlet. Match quality takes a backseat to the story you're telling, because without a story match quality means nothing.
The arching story of a company is that the world title is the most important thing in the world. If you're undercutting that on the first show it appears on, you're telling your audience not to care.
You strive to make the last match the best without actively undercutting other matches, because that's what people are usually most excited for, especially if it involves a world title. But you don't shuffled stuff around for "b-but th-this match had s-such good workrate!"

I don't claim to like him, but I can admit he is right 50% of the time. This time, he is right by saying the last match should-'t be so heavily overshadowed, though I also agree with the idea that other matches shouldn't be undercut. Either the title match should be moved to a different card, if it is good enough, if the guys aren't good enough and always get overshadowed change the guys.
