Umm, no. The only advantage to JPG is file size, because they use compression. PNGs are better quality.
PNG files are lossless, but they use certain algorithms to define regions of color. For images with many solid colors and simple curves, PNG is better for file size, but for very complex images with lots of detail, JPG is better.
