I like the part at 3:19 lole youtube.com/watch?v=sTfr4AsVFYg yeah one of the dreams was like pokemon, i was exploring wooden bridges and caves and birds were flying in perfect loops just like that. it's an ebin memory thanks for that fren. the other dream had a split second image of a guy on a speedboat and a guy getting pushed off of a helicopter in front of an island, with sparkly water in the background, reminded me of that too. i can remember the entire contexts of those moments too but it would be too difficult to explain, wow holy fug i can remember a shitload of both of those dreams even though they were months ago.

idk about that. it would take a lot of effort to make proper descriptions of what was going in in the dreams and i'm not sure i'd want it to be public. for example the context behind the ocean one was that i was working an office job and kept getting yelled at by the boss for sleeping, so for some reason i asked a coworker to draw a silly embarrassing picture of him but then i kinda jumped into the image on the paper and he was on a speedboat with a helicopter nearby in a gorgeous ocean scene. and some other shit happened, i was in some dude's yard getting sprayed by sprinklers. i had this dream like two months ago lole. the other dream was a lot crazier. it involved sailing to various islands to collect shit for like seven casters over various elemental magic to open a door for me somewhere, it was really cool i got to see some dude battle a giant oni and there was lightning and shit. then once i got through the magical door i experienced the looping birds. one of the islands had a kingdom on it with an inn where i remember trying to get drunk but people kept chasing me. also cave exploration. lole. reminds me of another cool dream i had recently where i was floating around a giant library and asked one of the people in it if i was dreaming, he said yes, so i flicked him in the face but then someone else got pissed at me and started spawning glasses full of wine in midair above me and shooting them at me. it was scary. a lot of shit lead up to that and it ended with a scary old lady with rotting teeth in a tv-lit room grabbing my arms and overpowering me with inhuman strength because i broke into her house.
it's the other way around, i played too many games when i was younger so my dreams are influenced by them. now the only games i play are touhou and i suck at them but i don't give a shit because it's fun. The scariest dream I had recently was about an eyeball that was a face made of tentacles that had been severely injured and was being repaired by a tentacle/caterpillar like monster while calm music played and a young voice was describing the healing process to me.
It's a pretty fun series if you like challenging arcade games, a lot of people will tell you it's shitty/not the best but I like the idea of cute girl fights in place of spaceships or airplanes. Up to you if you wanna invest time into that though... I know you talk about metal slug sometimes, idk how that series' difficulty compares but it's a different genre altogether. If you wanna try it out I recommend starting with a PC-98 game like 4 or 5 instead of the usual starting point, 6. Moving from the old games to the modern ones feels really nice.

i'm a bit younger than you so i missed out on a lot of those games but they all look like a lot of fun. i've emulated some older games too but i kinda got sick of video games overall so i just keep it simple and play one series. i figure trying to 1cc all the main touhou games will keep me occupied for a long ass time. what site are you getting it off of? i don't remember ever having to be in japanese locale to play them though i have been in japanese locale for ages since i played some VNs
