Yes I do ride bikes. But i've been lazy as of late so I haven-t been riding mine for a while
The problem with sidewalks is that it becomes pretty hard to avoid pedestrians, poles, benches, etc. The road is a lot easier to maneuver since the only thing you have to watch out for is bumps and batches, and of course cars, but those are not a major problem as long as you stick to the side of the road.
