I do believe in extra terrestrials in the conventional sense as well, just uncertain what we as a species have seen and experienced are other lifeforms or greater beings likened to Gods from a higher dimensional plane... wouldn't classify those as aliens in the traditional sense.

In fact we may not even exist as we perceive ourselves to be.

All memes aside, I believe in God, just not the word of man or these nonsensical religions... that being said I try to show some degree of respect to them and their followers.

yeah, all memes aside, i'd say i believe in god too, but not in the traditional sense. i grew christian, became an atheist and whatnot. i realized i changed. i don't concider myself an atheist anymore. i'd say i'm more inclined to believe in the version of god the hindus, buddhists and taoists talk about. there's some similarities in their interpretations of what god is that sort of speak to me, and i have great respect to these religions for that.

i base my belief in the fact that whatever is responsible for bursting this universe into existence is god. kinda silly but it works for me.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you, but most of the religious followers I meet I just can't respect. Mostly cause they all scream at me that I'm going to hell for being gay and not believing in their religion. Though the ones that aren't like that I can be good friends with, am friends with some of them.

Though I can feel the hating egotists, nearly everyone around me is one. They show signs of being above average in one or two things, only focused on them and neglected everything else and try to rub it in everyone's faces, they also constantly fish for compliments by tangenting a conversation into them talking about how terrible they are at everything so people will tell them how smart or good looking they are.

I would like to think this would be true, but personal experiences lead me to believe otherwise... but we may all create our "next step" after this life by means of action, consequence and belief.

Oh! Today I was about to start some volunteer service in the neighborhood picking up trash when this cute guy started screaming "yes!!!" I looked over and smiled and kinda laughed cause I was happy for him and he said "can I have a hug?" I dropped the bag I had and he came running to me from across the street and gave me one, it felt so nice! I asked him why he was so happy and said it was because his car finally started. I just smiled and said "that's awesome!". Good moment, made my day.. I think he just wanted to hug me tbh, lole!

That wouldn't have happened if I hadn't decided to go out of my way to help with everything, so try to put yourself in new situations and you never know what may happen..

i mean, i agree with you on that too. i'd like to believe that i would just return to the place my consciousness came from, it doesn't have to be good or bad, not to mention devoid of any experience at all. it could be just like dreamless sleep and that would be fine. the perfect afterlife for me would be one similar to how i felt before i was born.

sometimes i like to think that we've been through this before, through multiple universes and experienced existence in many different ways. i'd like for that to be true aswell. either way, i just hope i don't go to hell lole.

I can act like I'm not phased by people but it gets to a point where I just want to run into the bathroom and eat snacks to forget that I need to be outside.
