In order to understand why Cody is so upset about NXT moving to cable on Wednesdays, let's talk a little bit about his history and his character. This is a guy who has failed upward his whole life. He failed to get over in WWE yet was given chance after chance to move up the card for years, because of his dad. He was allowed to destroy the hottest angle in NJPW history (Bullet Club) despite never getting over there, because of his dad. He was given a big new title in New Japan despite never getting over there, because of his dad. He was given the NWA title because of his dad. He was given the ROH title because of his dad. He slaps his name on wine that someone else made. He uses Triple H's iconography and has his brother blade himself half to death to get over in his own promotion, because he simply can't do it on his own.
Of course he is mad about NXT's move to cable. He believes that he is entitled to success without actually earning it, and it's offensive to him that anyone would try to hinder what is rightfully his.

The thing that annoys me about Cody the most is him being heel in ring and then breaking kayfabe to be face. He does constantly every match every show. In ring he cheats uses weapons, outside interference, everything that is classic heel. Before and after the matches he is pandering to the crowd looking for cheers.
