given the blood pattern, which seems to be either leading away from the bathtub or into it, it would certainly seem plausible. if not for three small matters.
one: her fingernails weren't that long. of course, this alone is not enough to prove the blood didn't come from scratching the culprit.
two: on close inspection, her abdomen is the clear origin point of the blood. however, it's still possible the killer's blood might also be present.
three: do any of us here any fresh scratch wounds on our arms or face? if not, we can safely assume drowned anine girl didn't scratch the killer -- or, at least, didn't draw blood.

This knife was just discovered at the scene of the crime, it was hidden inside anine girl's stomach wound. it was rotated and wedged in there in such a way as to be completely hidden. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

the knife couldn't have been hidden inside her wound while she was in a tub full of water. if it had been, it would be clean. the only explanation for that knife being covered in blood is that it was hidden inside her wound either while she wasn't in the tub or before the water was turned on. which means, either it was hidden there while she was still alive, which seems unlikely at best, or she died before ever being submerged.
a clear motive, and no alibi. now we just need evidence. it's becoming increasingly clear that anine girl was not killed by drowning -- and since there are no other external injuries, it seems likely her stomach wound is the true cause of death. the question is, is there evidence that shows jungelist could have inflicted that stomach wound.

They wanted us to find it. They wanted to make sure we thought the killer was someone who had access to that knife before the time of death. Who would benefit from that if not someone who could prove that they *didn't* have that access until *after* anine girl died?
And, if that's true, then *why* would they not have had access to it until then?

if anine girl died before being submerged, and the place the killer chose to submerge her was a bathtub, that probably means they wanted to make her death look like a suicide. so if they wanted to make her death look like a suicide, and they also wanted to make sure we knew the stomach wound had to be inflicted by someone who had access to that knife before the time of death, AND they wanted to make sure we knew that DIDN'T include THEM, then it seems likely the REASON they wouldn't have had access to that knife prior to the time of death is because it belonged to the victim herself. that way, if we assumed the knife was the murder weapon, like the killer wanted, then it would only look even more like a suicide. it would also explain how the killer became able to access the knife after the victim died: they probably looted her corpse for her room key and got the knife from her room.
which means, they had to have had some way of knowing ahead of time that the knife was in her possession. and she had to have had some reason for having it.

the knife is clearly a kitchen knife from the le [s4s] kitchen. if we think in terms of jungelist being the killer, it makes sense he could have given her that knife, left for awhile, come back in secret, killed her, taken the knife back, planted it, and intended to use his absence as evidence that he couldn't have gotten the knife.

Besides, wasn't the whole reason we started down this train of thought because we assumed it couldn't have been a suicide? But we only assumed that because we were able to prove it wasn't drowning, right? What if she simply used the knife to commit suicide in the tub with the water running?

no, i don't think that's it. if that were true, the tub should have been overflowing when we found her, and the water should have still been running. not to mention, it would have been difficult for her to hide the knife in her wound by herself, and she would have lacked an obvious motive for doing so. furthermore, if she wanted to commit suicide, why bother stabbing herself and making it look like she might have drowned, instead of just drowning herself.
all in all, it makes far more sense to assume anine girl was murdered. which grants stronger grounds to the rest of our logic up to this point. but i do agree we need stronger empirical evidence.

if it was jungelist, we have our motive. according to this witness , he was last seen espousing a "kill all anime" initiative. but even so, there's still nothing but circumstantial evidence pointing to him as the killer.
if the spikeman is the killer, that would explain how the killer was able to create the stomach wound without the knife being the murder weapon. but we would need a motive for him too, and confirmation of no alibi.
