whats the most levels an automatic gear can have in a car
like is 10 speed the max or does it go higher

To my knowledge, the most forward gears in a production automatic transmission is 10. But I'm sure theres some oddball hypercar or something with like 12.. why do you ask?

Sorta misunderstood that question now that I read it again... I guess you could theoretically have as few or as many as you want, but after a certain point it starts to get impractical as far as size and weight

Having shorter gears and more of them means a more gradual gear reduction, smoother shifts and less lag between gears. On the downside, you get more weight and more moving parts to break. And you dont usually find 8 or 10 speeds on small cars or really anything with a 4 cylinder

I try to avoid opioids tbh, plus that's pretty hard to get here.
It was already a bit sore from the 12 year old spring mattress I've been sleeping on, and I hurt it even more while trying to put a transfer case back in a truck. My doctor says he doesn't think I messed my spine up at all, I just over strained the muscles and damaged them. He gave me a prescription for a muscle relaxer and that's working pretty well for me. Making me a bit sleepy though.
