Help me make it as a wrestler

>I’m shoot 6” so could be billed as 6’2”
>handsome face
>I’m 24 years old
>have 15k in savings
>going to start roiding so I can get big (currently 185lbs)
>have no debt but also no job prospects have been stuck in same dead end job for 5 years)
>I have nothing to lose in trying
I need you bros to help me think of a gimmick so I can start shooting some promos and uploading to YT. Any advice or any comments are welcome. Pic related is my current body. Getting some tren and test from my buddy this weekend.

Missed the cut off. Indie shitters have 7 years on you already

Oh ya just got a tanning bed membership

whom is this semon demon

Tell me about your personality. Following the Steve Austin guide to gimmicks can work assuming you aren't a stick in the mud.

Go to japan, the performance center is shit and the dojos are proven star makers

What do you want to be?
Also be a spooky gimmick. Those are always dimes and there's no good ones out rn

Remember it's all about money and miles

My personality is pretty autistic but I’ve been in plays before. Nothing big high school and community college but I’ve always been told I was a good actor. So I figure I could take the method acting approach and after figuring out the perfect character to portray become that character.

NJPW Dojo with Shibata in California.

I’d do sad fag who needs approval from fat people I don’t know on asp gimmick

You're not going to make it.

You can be a wrestler, but if you want to be a star then that's something else. You need to have a personality, and it needs to be organic. Forcing yourself into some retarded gimmick because you saw IRS as a kid isn't going to work long term. Have a "gimmick" that's a natural extension of your real personality and make it entertaining.

Learn to read a crowd. You can have the lamest moveset but if you are actually good at understanding atmosphere, acting, and learning when to speed up or slow down a match then that's all that really matters. Make your shit natural looking. Don't overly script or choreograph.

If you can do all this shit you'd stand out over 90% of the flippy geeks that don't understand what it means to be entertaining in a drama-based business.

you'll be fine in WWE, since they are the F List of Celebrity tiers

24 is too old to start

DDP

No it isn't. Steve Austin started at 23 or 24, and DDP broke in as a wrestler in his 30s.

Thanks for positivity bros

Bitch is you wanted blind dick sucking then you should've gone to reddit
It may not be too late but if you're actually serious about being a wrestler get your ass on a bus to the LA dojo now
Every second your youth passes by you, you can only catch your dreams if you reach for them

I’m looking at greyhound tickets now brother but is Dojo really the way to go?

First things first
Learn the basics - punches, kicks, slams, timing, selling.
Body - work on arms more.
Gimmick - you aren't an actor, you are a wrestler. To be dimes you need to find someone inside yourself and amp it up to the limit and beyond. Think about what you like and what you despise. What of it can be made into a gimmick? What connects you to the Cletus in Kentucky?

>What connects you to the Cletus in Kentucky?
Well I play video games and want to incorporate obscure anime references into my signature moves

Gimmicks don't matter anymore, just do a few flips and learn to slap your thighs, then you'll be drowning in hot dogs

If you don't get accepted by the dojo, you could try OVW or Al Snow's school in Kentucky. Rip Rogers and Al are great psychologists and will teach you how to work safely. The most important things your trainer can teach you are psychology and safely bumping. Everything else you have to develop completely on your own as you wrestle more and more.

Cringe

That wasn’t OP (me) I don’t even like anime

No if i become a wrestler I vow to never use any thigh slapping maneuver

What's your athletic background?

ddp started training at 35. all you need is something that the indie shitters don't have like charisma or promo ability and you'll be fine

>getting worked
You're not gonna make it with the wolves, kid

Unironically a very good high school football player. Was talking to coaches from some lower level D1 schools about partial scholarships my junior year. Got in legal trouble summer going into senior year and couldn’t play. But I played linebacker from 3rd grade to 11th and was always one of the “stars” of the team.

If you can't talk then I should be your manager. I'm good at reading people and crowds and am a fat, pasty 5'8" guy for that easy heat

Here's the best advice you're going to get. Take up wrestling or another form of grappling and get good at that first.

So do I put my pro wrestling training on hold while I learn shoot wrestling?

>Phoneposter
Yeah, you've got no chance

I don’t own a computer

DDP had connections in the wrestling business and was a manger in the big leagues since his mid 20s

you look like a fag

Doing roids already you simp. You could easily put on 20/30 lbs with food and heavy lifting. You clearly haven't what it takes. Hit the bricks faggot

I'm 24 & Started Training at 23.
Would NJPW still let me be a Young Lion if I went to a tryout this year or next?
Or would I have to lie about my age, because Clean shaven I still look 17.

Join CyberFights

Maybe the LA Dojo might, Tokyo Dojo's upper age limit is 23.

Damn it.
I was hoping for Tokyo, as it's npt as dirty or crime ridden as LA & I've been there before.
Oh well.
No age limit on the LA Dojo then?
I could get in even if I was 25 Next Year?
How old was Jay White when he got to the Tokyo Dojo?

No clue on an upper limit to the LA Dojo, but Fredericks is in his 30's I'm fairly certain. Jay would've been 22 since he got accepted in January of 2015.

>Have a "gimmick" that's a natural extension of your real personality

Bro, what If my real personality is boring

just do gay porn. you're already a faggot anyway.

I been thinking of becoming a wrestler as well. I wanna get my training in Mexico

Inb4 K.

Sure.

Thnks m8.
I'll look into L.A.
I'm sure if I get talking to Devitt eventually he could put in a good word for me.

Best of luck to ya pal.

Just started training not to long ago, probably have a couple more months left.
Flip bump is your best friend, fuck front face bumps. Running the ring is very painful when you start out and you'll bruise a lot but you get used to it. Work on bumping properly, doesn't matter what moves you can do or how well you can do them, if you bump well you'll get booked.
Work on promos. Watch videos of promos, practice promos just as much as you practice in ring work.

Please stiff the fuck out of janela once you make it OP

Is the flip bump as tough as it looks?

Depends on your size. I'm 5'3 so it's very easy for me. If you're tall then it's going to suck unless you're athletic.
Front face and side bumps are my least favourite, either you eat shit or get balled doing a front face bump and I'm a retard and keep falling on my ribs for the side bump.
The only time you'll be doing a flip bump is usually for arm drags, but you can just use the dude as a post and flip off him.

Just do actual pro fighting or pro grappling.
You'll be just as injured, but you don't need any kind of charisma. Perfect for autism!

WWE main roster wrestler here, you're welcome to try out in NXT Florida.

Pro tip: If you follow a very agressive diet you can get a very jacked body earning muscle mass without the need of roids, which is going to be beneficial in your future. I feel that first things first, getting yourself into any wrestling school to learn the basics is key. Also its important for you to at least find a part time job, because the first years are always the tougher ones. Starting at 24 is no biggie, ddp, goldberg, strowman and more started far older and they drew more dimes moving a finger than a 20 year veteran indyshitter.

The most important thing in wrestling is to be able to deliver a solid match while keeping people into you. Wrestling on its most purest form is just a variation of theater, so start practicing promos in mirrors, and even start cutting mini-promos against strangers in the streets, or in clubs, or to a cashier in a grocery store. Its quintesencial that you lose any inhibition.

As far as gimmicks go, if you are a solid wrestler and can exhude charisma, anyone's gonna work. A Ninja, a Construction Worker, ex-military gone derranged, whatever.

Good luck man, I wish you well, please keep us updated.

I think The Boogeyman lied to Tough Enough about his age, so he was about 40 when he ran the ropes for the first time.

Never give up on your ambitions, user.

Why the fuck would you use tren if you want to wrestle? It kills your cardio.

>>Have a "gimmick" that's a natural extension of your real personality
>Bro, what If my real personality is boring
Identify a reason that makes your personality boring and focus on that. It'll still be an extension of your real personality and it'll be great for getting heat

>5'3
The state of this business

>no good ones

You need short guys just as much as you need big guys.
I'd rather be a super manlet then average height. Crowd adores you because you're a scrappy mother fucker. Rey wouldn't draw as much dimes if it wasn't for his height. He'd just be another guys in a mask.

OP you should run a couple cycles get shredded start up a youtube channel and claim natty while pushing broscience and cookie cutter training programs and supplements that are shit it has a higher success rate.

This, short niggas also help sell average height niggas as giant niggas. Good looking out, lil homie.

Op here, I’ve thought about doing something like that but I have too much integrity for some bullshit like that.

Go on a couple of cycles really get big and shredded.

Go do Al Snow's school to learn how to work and then start working the indies until you can get accepted into the LA Dojo. Use the indies as a sort of "laboratory" to try different things and figure out how to work a crowd and get over. If you try stuff and it sucks, it's not a big deal since you're bombing in front of maybe 50 people in a bingo hall.

Once you get into the Dojo, follow Shibata's teachings to the letter. The Dojo demands absolute committment and discipline. There are a lot of indie guys with years of experience who try out for the Dojo and get dropped because they can't get over themselves and be disciplined (i.e. Barrett Brown).

Also, go do open-mic's with the intention of bombing. You need to lose all inhibition about talking in front of strangers.

OP, I don't know if you're still chilling here or what but I've got some words for you: don't listen to what anyone else tells you. You might as well give this a shot if you're serious about it. Worst case, you don't make it, best case you get an awesome career. There's plenty of places you can go that will accept wrestlers of all experience levels. You don't need to be a wrestling prodigy to make it as a wrestler. Just start training, start bulking, take improv classes, etc. Charisma can get you way further than wrestling skill. Just believe in yourself OP, and give it everything you got.

Hey I’m still here I’m off work today. I’ve already lifted so now I’m riding the elliptical and lurking here on my phone. I am really serious. I’m currently a truck driver doing local stuff so If i shit out I could always renew my cdls no biggie. I really am gonna go for it. If years of taking bumps on the gridiron didn’t fuck my head up I really don’t think wrestling will.

Yo, I'm also trying to make it as a wrestler (and I'm 24, weird coincidence), should I be doing cardio everyday and weights every other day? I alternate right now, but I feel like cardio is so important I need to focus on it a lot more.

>ddp started training at 35
he was also involved in the business for a decent amount of time prior to that so wasn't going into it like a normal rookie. Boogey Man might be a better example desu, though he didn't exactly accomplish much
anyway 24 is kind of old but definitely not too old to start

No debt, wait till you hit the indies.

That’s what I do. But once I start my cycle I’m gonna do weights everyday until I come off. I don’t go too hard on cardio. I talk 6 mile walks and ride the elliptical for about 45 minutes but on days I lift sometimes I might just walk 3 miles or something.

Ya brother but my truck is paid off and I have 15 k in savings. I thought I was going to get married to my ex girlfriend. Had been saving money since I was like 17 to start a family and shit. And we broke up last year and she kicked me out of the apartment so I’ve been living with my parents for like a year now and just been stashing away money. So I think I could make it a year or two with that amount of savings plus a pt job or something.

You don't need a gimmick you need to learn to work.

Sure, but I don't plan on roiding. You're a couple inches taller than me, so it should look a lot better for you than me.

Do you think we'll wrestle someday, OP?

I hope we do man but I seriously think you should consider roiding. I’ve never done it before and have been against it until I decided I’m really gonna try to go for a wrestling career. But a couple of my friends who are around 5’7” to 5’10” have and they put on muscle like crazy. It’s easier to get that big look the shorter you are. If you’re against it I understand but even a few cycles will add permanent mass. When you come off you won’t be as big but still bigger then before. That’s my plan.

I've got somewhat decent genes. I'll never look like Brock, but I can manage.

NATURAL not organic you fucking Plebbit shitter

Brother if you don’t get on the gear you will be a jobber at best

Larp?

True.
There's a guy at my training who is shoot like 5'5, everyone loves him.

Is it you?

Fuck you fuzzymuzzy if I ever see you in person I’m gonna shoot kick your ass

Kek, I bet it is and it watches AEW

You are too small

>Handsome face
According to who? Your mother and aunts?

Kek
It's not, seriously.
I was Taller than Styles when I met him.
And I watch AEW, But I watch NXT, CMLL & NJPW too though.

Don't waste your time going to the dojo if you don't already have some basic ring knowledge since it's not a traditional school that accepts just anyone with the money. Go to a wrestling school (a good one that's not a scam), then go to the dojo if you think you're good enough.

No I’ve always gotten compliments. I would post a pic but I don’t know if I want to be associated with Yea Forums. I have posted my face on /fit/ before though.

I’m shoot 6 foot and my goal weight is around 217 lbs. someone like that could be billed at 6’2” and 235 so I don’t think I’m too small.

Seethe cringe cope hit the weights take a shower get a clue have sex grow a chin and kill yourself

Kwab

stop responding and go to wrestling school already

Since making this thread I’ve emailed Al Snows wrestling school. Lifted weights and rode my bike. Only so much you can do.
