Gargono/Cole is 4 stars too many

>having a 5 star rating system only to break it on a daily basis

Its a 6 star system at this point

BBD carrying Buddy to a 4 star match

Because wrestling as a whole has been hugely elevated by Okada and Omega. According to Meltz anyway...

Fixed rating systems are retarded. The highest score should mean that the thing you are rating is objectively perfect, but then how can anything be objectively perfect when you are rating it subjectively.

The only objective rating is that I don't watch wrestling so I don't care

Because no serious critic claims their ratings are infallible and objective. They just give their thoughts and grade it. They offer their viewpoint and attempt to be objective by gauging the merits of a work but everything ultimately kowtows to their sense of subjectivity.

WON Pastebin?

>Fale & GoD vs. Ishii, KENTA & Yano: 3.5

it was yoshi hashi not yano

>Bálor vs. The Fiend: 2
Why? I thought it was great. Oh, right, it wasn't a gymnastics tumbling routine so it was shit. Fuck this old hymie.

12 matches at Summerslam and only one of them is worthwhile. Classic WWE.

To be fair NJPW is on another planet when it comes to match quality right now.

Holy fucking based SWITCHBLADE.

Trish Stratus had a better bout than Ricochet and AJ oh no no no no.

I love how much he despises Peyton.

Welcome to the list of wrestlers with more ***** matches than Daniel Bryan.

We should really begin to put this focus on Rollins though since he seems legitimately obsessed with this kind of thing.

yes, somebody post it or I'll do a shit right here

>Cole vs. Gargano: 4
At least he didn't give it more than five stars this time. Still seems a bit high for a match that was needlessly long and boring as fuck, if you ask me.

>Ricochet vs. Styles: 3
I thought this was a better match than the one they had at Extreme Rules, personally. Maybe the title change upped the score of the previous encounter in his mind.

>Lesnar vs. Rollins: 4.25
It's a nitpick, but the Lesnar/Bryan match at Survivor Series was rated just slightly higher than this one, and I don't agree with that. This match was easily the most entertaining and memorable of the series of matches Lesnar has had with Styles, Bryan, Balor and now Rollins.

>Ibushi v Okada - 5

I dunno about that David. Sure, it was a huge match story wise. But I’m not sure it was Omega v Okada level. I can’t even remember how it finished. I’d say it was more 3 or 4.

Okada, Tanahashi yes, Omega no, he was elevated by them. Omega only reached that height with Okada, meanwhile Okada is still going with an average star rating of almost 5 stars every match, and NJPW is killing it every time with new classics and huge angles while Omega is wasting his time fucking around with The Bucks while fkn Cody Janneties them.

>Goldberg vs. Ziggler: 3
>Bálor vs. The Fiend: 2
Both serve their purposes very well, but why Fiend match only gets 2?

Cause bray still hasn't learned how 2 wrestle.

god bless g1 climax with the consistent 4 to 5.5 stars. that was good shit

The golden 5 stars kota ibushi

Neither one was a competitive match so I think they are pretty much locked at around 3 stars max as his system is for more standard big matches. Ziggler and Goldberg went smoothly, but the Wyatt match had the crowd ruin the atmosphere as much as possible chanting Yowie Wowie and all that other shit, and the dynamic didn't work because Balor's comeback had no heat and fell flat even getting some boo's, and everyone cheered the guy who is supposed to be a monster, then Balor had a moment after the match anyway. Obvious the crowd would do that, you can't really get Boo's for a character the crowd feels is interesting in a sea of shit, so not really Bray's fault, still a great segment but no dynamics to it.

Honestly, Wyatt's wrestling ability is quite boring. The only good thing in that match was the literal neck breaker. If they had played more with the theatrics after that move, it would've been more disturbing and interesting, instead we got the same boring moves as usual and Wyatt didn't even get out of the Coup d Grace or whatever is Balor's finisher called. Very by the numbers match.

What's so wrong rooting for a very well-hyped cool monster heel character's in-ring debut?

He has broken 5 stars since the 80s. He also has said more than once that the scale got adjusted to out of 7

I mean yeah, that's what the star system is largely based on.

Because if you remove the theatrics, it was a glorified squash match. Very little to do with the wrestling and more to do with the character. It’s an amazing moment and made Bray Wyatt a star, it really doesn’t need any star ratings.

>Bálor vs. The Fiend: 2
It was a shit match with the crowd dead as fuck for most of it, and the posing, commentary and camera movements were especially bad

Fuck off. Okada will never have a feud as critically acclaimed as his feud with Omega. It won't happen. Two back to back Tokyo Sports Best Bouts. Never will happen again.

>I watch wrestling but only if it's bad
Do you realize how retarded this sounds

Does fale have the comfiest gig in wrestling right now?
>2m net worth
>minimal mannerisms
>barely has to say shit
>barely has to move in the ring
>mostly gets to just chill in tag/multiman tag matches
>eternal safety net as an OG Burrito Crub member
>gets to go home to Pieter every single night

I'd say comfiest "ever" but Andre the Giant existed

Andre's almost never having to bump, always winning, and getting over just for being big might have been comfy but the amount of inconvenience to his life/health for being that big pretty much negates it all.

Andre was in literal pain 24/7 from being too big, so Fale has him beat in the comfy department.

Dolph's sell on the Spear was worth a full star on its own.

>This match was made solely so Dolph could sell the spear and make it look strong again after the Taker disaster.

>hates Bliss & IIconics
>comedy in the match which is a big no no to him
surprise he didn't rate it a dud

Nope. It's his Charles bias, her matches get an extra half a star, So he really thought it was 2.75

It just me or is he rating WWE more harsh recently.
His WWE ratings used to feel extremely generous.

it's probably the G1
he tries to not let in influence his judgement of WWE but yeah

>Lynch vs. Natalya: 3.25

What in the fuck

>Dunne vs. Strong vs. Velveteen Dream: 3.5

WHAT THE FUCK

i think the """pure strikes""" and the botched spots soured him a little on the 3-way

The funny thing is that his WWE ratings ARE generous as he admittedly gives them an extra "at least you tried" star for every WWE match he grades.

For his actual WWE grades always remember to remove 1 star.
