ignore all homestuck games they are terrible
read the webcomic it's the original form
you gotta read the first 4 mspa comics first to get everything
the first few acts are guided by read submitted prompts so the quality fluctuates and he got disinterested in the last act and had tumblr girls write and draw it for him so the quality nose dives
it's also gay and riddled with bad old memes but the game and plot systems are really interesting but all dropped and not fully explained by the end
it's also composed of 7000 something pages of bad art and walls of text
the music and classpect system are the only relevant part and the entire franchise and fanbase are dead as well

I liked it.
Not really a game you can replay much but the first time through is a fun experience and it engages you and makes you wanna keep going and exploring.

On the other side is the reality that its not perfect.
There are many, many flaws and areas of potential improvement.
The real strength of the game is probably the characters, the story, the interactivity, dialogue and humor.
The creator really put his heart into the project and it shows just as his limitations also show.

I fucking loved it, completed it 3 or 4 times.

Not a fan of bullethell games but it was very well written and refreshing compared to what was out at the time.

Bullet hell games always seem like they do everything they can not to bore you so that's pretty funny, but yeah they're not my favorite either
