Sir James Steven Harrison CBE (ジェームズ ハリソン Jēmuzu Harison, born February 6, 1981), is an English professional wrestler, promoter and mixed martial artist. He has been owner of the WWE since 2015, jointly holding the position with his sister Ana Sanchez since 2017.
Harrison began his professional wrestling career in 1994 with New Japan Pro Wrestling where he won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship twice and the IWGP Tag Team Championship alongside Junji Hirata. In 1997, Harrison moved to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). In 1999, he co-founded the influential Empire of Pain stable, which became a major element of the WWF's "Attitude Era". After which he developed his legendary Demon gimmick following a fire accident with D-Generation X which led him to his first WWE Championship aged just 18.
Harrison became the head booker of the company in 2015 after his father, Steven Harrison bought the WWE and oversaw what has been dubbed "The New Golden Era". Over the course of his WWE career, Harrison has held a total of 90 championships including eleven reigns as WWF/WWE Champion and a record eleven as WWE's World Heavyweight Champion. In addition, he was also the winner of the 1998 and 2000 King of the Ring tournaments and the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2008 Royal Rumbles and two Money in the Bank ladder matches. His total of 21 world championships is the most all-time (recognized by WWE). He has headlined WrestleMania, WWE's flagship pay-per-view, eight times.
>Sanchez has twice been recognised by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) as the most inspirational wrestlers after she came back to prominence in women's wrestling after giving birth. She has also been named the number one female wrestling in the world by PWI on five occasions, the only woman to win this title on multiple occasions. She has also featured on the PWI 500 on fifteen occasions and in 2009 she reached number eleven. As a result of this Sanchez has been called the best female wrestler of all-time by notable names in wrestling such as Stephanie McMahon, Dave Meltzer and Jim Cornette.
