Not bad, not bad... anybody got the promo from their first match? A year long feud has to make for a kino promo package, I'd guess.

Also, side note, someone was shitting on Brock being jobbed to Cena on his first match back. And I have to reiterate, Brock had diverticulitis, ring rust, rules against him, etc - of course Cena should have won on his build vs The Rock. Fast fwd to SummerSlam, a fully healthy Brock destroyed Cena one on one, also a part of the build vs Rock 2.

Whoever doesn't see the brilliance of that booking is a nimrod. Bonafide.

Back then these builds and promos took place over months and wrestlers never even touched eachother, let alone wrestle in matches against eachother a million times like they do today. "One time only", usually meant one time only (that's what made Cena/Rock relatively special).

There's not much of a story told to this package, but I think this one is underrated. Just a nice way to sell the struggle of the MITB and the wrestlers in the match.
Also it has that neo AMVcore song in the background to really push it over the edge

Yea, the second one had a more personal feel to it, which allowed to use emotion of both wrestlers. The first one was just, "You vs Me, I love this, you don't, Big Match"

Cena from WM27 to US Title run then SD brand run split was one of the best runs ever in wrestling, don't care what anyone says.
