Never went to business for himself whilst edge will try to steal your wife

Yikes.

This. Christian didn't give a shit about winning and losing, only his paycheck

He's good and was never once a mark for himself despite deserving much more than he wa as given.

He's that guy who isn't necessarily funny, but is fun to be around. He has never started drama or got into a fight or talked shit behind someone's back or pulled any backstage politics with anyone. He's got a goofy sense of humor that makes guys pop. He's a remarkable safe and easy guy to work with. Also was considered a slight genius when it came to innovating TLC matches, as it was known that Christian had the biggest hand in planning out those matches, which his formulas have since been copied repeatedly. Guys like Steve Austin and The Rock liked him, even at a time when both Austin and Rock had gotten so big that they became loners in the lockerroom because of their respective statuses.

Christian was like the guy you always want on your basketball team, even if he never actually plays, and he eventually becomes a coach. He has a great mind for matches and has fun on the road.

Based

Didn't "What?" start due to Austin calling Christian one day on the road and leaving some weird long vociemail on his phone? IIRC, he called Christian and kept doing the "what" thing and somebody (presumably Christian) told Austin to work it into promos.

last of a dying breed in regards to not being a mark for himself

>Vince pulls Christian & Orton into a room
>Vince tells them that Orton is getting the title and Christian is dropping after 2 days
>Orton gets very upset and is saying he doesn't want to do it because he knows there will be big backlash and that it'll be the wrong kind of heat
>Christian tells Orton to stop being a mark
>ensuing feud then saves Orton's love for wrestling and it was sadly the last time Randy was good
>Edge sits quietly and seethes as Orton gushes over Christian and Orton doesn't make any mention of Edge outside of "our tag thing was nice at the time, I guess"

>source: Orton on the E&C Pod.

Edge seething makes no sense. What the fuck has Randy done compared to him?

Been good at wrestling?

Yes. Stone Cold said he had gotten a call from Christian on the phone one day during the summer of 2001 and he had left a voicemail in which he would often say “What" in between his sentences. It got a laugh, so Stone Cold decided to use it as his gimmick on TV and then he started saying it over and over again during the WCW/ECW InVasion storyline in which he would repeatedly harass his own teammates with it and it stuck.

desu, It's kind of sad that nobody ever says these nice things about Edge.
Everybody from Batista to Goldberg to DDP to Cawdy to Kane to Goldust to Styles to Joe to Orton to EY to Roode to Ryder to RVD to Shelton to Natalya to Beth etc etc all rave about Christian being their favorite guy

because no matter how many things Edge has in keyfabe, he never had the respect of peers like Christian does.
You know it's fucking bad when the EdgeHeads prefer Christian over Edge

Are you the fag spamming like 4 Christian threads everyday? Is that you Christian?

Nobody's a mark for themselves nowadays and if they are they tone it down for bigger picture

>Nobody's a mark for themselves nowadays
You're kidding, right? So many fucking wrestlers and producers are concerned far more about match stars than they are business. So many shitters are killing themselves out there to emulate some FOTM, epic Japanese match to the detriment of any character work or psychology. And workrate alone will never ever draw.

>>You know it's fucking bad when the EdgeHeads prefer Christian over Edge
>Thru Edge, Ryder & Hawkins get their big breaks in WWE
>Fast forward
>They win the tag titles at WrestleMania
>Ryder is wearing Christian tribute gear

>Punk
>Sasha
>Pac
>Nick Buck
>Matt Buck
>Bagley
etc
etc

I met him once in Japan randomly. Super nice guy who introduced himself as Jay. I feel like he told me he either was born or lived in NJ as a kid when he asked me where I was from.

Met him at a bar after he told a friend he had just flown in. He ordered a martini. Cool dude.

Based cartoon supervillain

If Christian got Kane's 2010 world title run, and held the the title again the following year from Extreme Rules - Night of Champions uninterrupted he would be admired even more. But he deserves a hell of a lot of credit for carrying ecw during its last year.

If you guys aren't falling for genuine shitposting then you'd know that Edge isn't much of a mark for himself either, a few examples of that were how he wanted the Nexus win when John didn't want to do the job and how he didn't get the band to play his theme song because he didn't think he should get cheered as a heel, unlike Trips
That aside, those guys are two peas in a pod, no wonder they're extremely gay for each other

Guys like Christian and Kane are hard to come by. They never cared about their win/loss record, just being professional at work.
