Why would he go start a new company when pro-wrestling is dying in the USA?
'The Elite' is just a small niche in the niche that's pro-wrestling.
Only the most fanboy of fanboys will pay and watch AEW content.
Did he make the wrong choice?
>Why would he go start a new company when pro-wrestling is dying in the USA?
you just answered your own question moron, AEW are making the future of entertainment while WWE die
I'm not sure how you can look at the AEW audience and say they're going to save wrestling
It's so fucking limited and their comedy shit is just going to isolate the mainstream audience
>I'm not sure how you can look at the AEW audience and say they're going to save wrestling
There are actually people in the audience unlike WWE
Let's be frank, Kenny's best years are behind him. Not every wrestler can be like an AJ Styles, who can still perform like he's in his 20's in his 40's. all we can do now is remember the good times fondly.
>AEW are making the future of entertainment
KEK what a cultist
>I'm not sure how you can look at the AEW audience and say they're going to save wrestling
>Video Game loving faggots, millions of them
>Comic battle weeb loving faggots, millions of them
>Fans of the indie wrestling right now, maybe like 500k of them and some more
They will be fine, even a blind retard can see who they want to attract
when/if AEW fails, he will be main event in WWE or Japan
The others will have to job elsewhere
wrestling isn't dying, WWE is dying
He's milking this money mark's fortune until American wrestling dies for good. Can't blame him for that.
>implying i'm an E-drone
The reason WWE is dieing is because nobody can take that shit seriously anymore, unlike mexico and japan where the promotions are well alive and the audience can actually get invested
AEW is going to become WWE but worse in every way if they keep going down the road they are
And none of those millions of other fans care about wrestling. They have their own niches. Hollow pandering from a dying one isn't going to attract them.
Wrestling in America is dying. Painfully.
>Kenny smashed this
BASED
>And none of those millions of other fans care about wrestling
But maybe they will start, might aswell try, we will ses in like 5 years (if they dont sink) how they do
Almost every wrestling fan in America is a WWE fan. Other companies may enjoy some success, but that's a superficial boom period. There's no creation of new fans, the existing fans of WWE, in their disenfranchised state are just displaying more mobility between other companies. This isn't a boom, it's a slow decline, there are zero new fans being created.
Japan is enjoying an actual boom.
They don't need WWE numbers their company is much cheaper to run. WWE costs like 800M+ a year to run because the company is so bloated.
Why would they, though?
Do you think Omega doing a video game cosplay or some stat-autism are going to compel them to dedicate two hours a week to something they previously didn't care about?
AEW isn't video games or Comicvine vsbattles section. People like those things for entirely different reasons than what AEW would or could present.
If you want to talk about appealing to vidya nerds at least mention the AEW game that's supposedly in the works. If that turns out well and sells well, you may be onto something, but wrestling games outside of the 2K brand are jack.
Let’s be frank. If Omega was still in NuJpan you would be still sucking off Omega.
>Do you think Omega doing a video game cosplay or some stat-autism are going to compel them to dedicate two hours a week to something they previously didn't care about?
It literally did for my friend who now is watching NJPW because he watched the CEO AEW show and will watch AEW when he starts kek.
>the CEO AEW show
But that had no vidya shit and the stat autism doesn't exist yet
>AEW are making the future of entertainment while WWE die
If anything they're killing wrestling, they've had 2 shit shows out of the 3 they've made.
>house shows!
Don't make trash house shows this early on it doesn't leave a good impression.
>Getting paid more to do less
>Why is he not a mark like me?
Kenny was one of the biggest stars in the world and now he's entirely irrelevant. He fucked up big time.
I think it did have some video game shit? Also he just liked what he saw, he watched it only because CEO was shilling it and sponsoring it
But muh tranny revolution.
This, they should take all the money from this mark as long as they can.
>But maybe they will start,
Doubt it, most E-lite drones only want to watch twitter GIFs.
>I didn't like two minor shows of theres so wresting is dead
based exaggearting ego autist chad
That's fair, but I don't think they're gonna attract hordes of gamers just because they sometimes make references
>Don't make trash house shows this early on it doesn't leave a good impression.
Are you blind or just dumb?
Bad shows to start with means it's harder to get that momentum back from the first show, you can't thrive off smarks forever as evidenced by roh and aew caters to smarks.
He's making executive money, so that's the trade-off.
Wrestling-wise, he's been irrelevant for a while. People were saying it last year, only Meltzer seemed to be rating his matches highly. His big title run, which was built for years was fucked over.
If you had a chance to make history, great money, retain your outlaw reputation and do whatever you want during your off time, you would do it too.
Kenny supposedly has a big influence over the joshi program in AEW and he's the one who had enough connections to make Fyter Fest happen. There's no way he could've had either of those things happen anywhere else.
Yes njpw is better without all of those fags
I still believe Kenny should have stayed in NJPW, but I hope his desires to still do matches there kind of happen in the future. I've been a big fan of his since 2015 when he was doing The Cleaner stuff and his eventual transition to Heavyweight. I always thought there was something about him that seemed so fitting for Japan. Say what you will about his reign, but the IWGP belt looked fuckin' good around his waist and I feel like there's still fresh match ups he has there now more than ever. I dunno. I miss Kenneth. I wanted The Golden Lovers to be a bigger thing in the long run seeing as how the Elite would leave. I want Kenny vs. Ibushi for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WK. I feel like inside his heart is there, but he easily gets paid and works less with AEW.. so I can't fault him too much, but I dunno, none of his entrances so far have had any of the passion or emotion that any of his big NJPW matches had.
Most of his title reign was against Cody, which no one wanted and the matches were dull, and the G1. Kenny really should've feuded with literally anyone else and I feel like people would remember a little more fondly.
He doesn’t care about money. He doesn’t care about fame. He especially does not care about WWE.
Kenny just wants to be Kenny.
>Did he make the wrong choice?
Money wise? No.
They're not
He knows he couldn't change shit
He looks like he wants to kill himself
