>96K IN 14 FUCKING HOURS
We see this every week for run of the mill shit WWE posts.

this is the exact same type of video

Attached: network.jpg (1213x437, 67K)

Going by the standard trend on youtube, the video you're talking about will end up with roughly double what it has when it hits the 24 hour mark which won't be near either of those and that's with youtube having massively exploded since then. If you were trying to bury AEW through irony you did a good job I guess.

Wha happen bb? WWE uploads matches all the time. Shouldn't the big launch video generate more hype than an old match from developmental?

>YouTube views matter
Really big fan of Kavita Devi's run as womens champ lately.

Yes go ahead and tell me about how unimportant the youtube views are for a company that got started entirely on internet hype ya coping simp.

They're an anomaly. I didn't think it would work out either, but somehow it is so far. I still don't think these youtube and social media numbers are worth a shit.

>LOL THE YOUTUBE VIEWS ARE LOW FOR NJPW/AEW
>Those companies continue to grow.
>LOL THE YOUTUBE VIEWS ARE HIGH FOR WWE
>Continues to crater in every metric.
Weird.

This.

hahaha the lowest-viewed smackdown videos has double that hahahha oh no no no AEW is finished!

to be fair japs watch the post match interviews on world

So youtube views only tell a certain part of the story, wow, it's like you're agreeing with me or something.

Japs barely subscribe to the service.

Then explain how the fuck they keep selling out most shows in japan.
you fucking retard

Are you fucking stupid? They're a hot promotion. That's how. Subscription services don't do well in Japan, that's why half or more than half of NJPW World's subscribers are from outside the country.

>waaah waaah youtube doesn't matter when I don't like it
I've known the size of their loyal viewerbase since FEBRUARY through looking at their youtube figures. 350k.
Months later guess what figure their free broadcast of Fyter Fest peaked at
sescoops.com/aew-fyter-fest-averaged-140000-viewers-on-b-r-live/
You should be wondering why that fanbase hasn't increased between February and June instead of deluding yourself with copes.

The vast majority of subscribers are in Japan. You're completely wrong about that.

What's your point? 200-400k has always been the number and it's the number Turner is expecting in October. They think it's a property that they can grow once it's on TV.

Why doesn’t aew run some sort of Cambridge analytics campaign and spam everyone’s social media feed with their videos?

>we

The point is their youtube views that you're saying don't matter told me, in February, the same thing Meltzer was fed months later by Turner in May. 11.99 please.

What a novel thing, someone with a bit of common sense in one of these threads. These networks are hoping that the shows will catch on, I don't think even Fox is expecting giant numbers from WWE immediately. They'd be pretty stupid if they were, but then again, I wouldn't have paid that much money for SmackDown as well.

Because what they would promote? Tv show hasn't started yet. People won't be willing to buy PPVs for 50 dollars without knowing anything.
I don't understand this need Yea Forums has for AEW to somehow already overtake wwe. They cannot. They are doing slow and steady steps. For some reason that is not what Yea Forums wants them to do...

Okay. The thesis of this thread is that there's only 96k views for this announcement video. And you're admitting that the dedicated AEW fanbase is around 350-400k and that that number would be considered a success by Turner. So, let's follow this through logically.

350k is a bigger number than 96k. So the number of youtube views does not matter because we already know there's a lot more than 96k people that care about AEW and will presumably be watching on October 2nd.

I think FOX thought they were getting Rousey and they just got hustled.

The thread topic presented the 96k as some sort of ground breaking trending figure.
I disputed that for the reasons you kindly stated and then we ended up having this conversation because I disputed the idea that the youtube views don't matter, for the reasons I stated in my other posts
Rousey barely popped ratings and only when she first started

That's for sure what happened, but at this point they have to see what they have and hope it can grow. I think they'll get a significant boost from the current Raw ratings but not by much. Whether they grow or not is if they do a good job. I'm shocked they didn't push to get Brock as the champ on SmackDown though. They gotta be unifying those belts soon.

The OP clearly was making fun of the viewer count because it's low compared to all the pajeet views every WWE vid gets. Did you not get that part? I'm still with you on YouTube views not mattering though.

>Did you not get that part?
Nope. Maybe I should go to sleep.

Weren't the deals made when Rousey was still relatively new and fresh? Anyway the real answer is that Crown Jewel is what started the true ratings freefall (or maybe it's just a coincidence, because it feels like the shows got way worse around that time too), so Rousey probably wouldn't matter either way. FOX overpaid for a shit product and they're probably gonna get buyer's remorse quick.

AWESOME. WE DID IT BROS

Yes, they were made very close to her being a semi regular as I recall. It's clear she was a big part of what got them the deal, even though she didn't really boost ratings that much anyway. I'm still shocked they didn't try and ask how long she would be around or something. It's crazy how WWE uses it's relative niche place to it's advantage somehow.

I remember right after she debuted at the Rumble, WWE was making a big big deal that she was gonna be
A) Full-time
B) Multi-year
It was in all of the press releases and headlines and shit, they were really stressing that she'd signed a multi-year deal. And that's technically true, she's signed until 2021. So FOX probably assumed and WWE just didn't correct them.

To be fair, I think she'll be back relatively soon. It's funny how the women's division instantly lost all it's heat when she left though.

I mean it certainly didn't help that they completely fucked up Becky's storyline with all this lame McMahon drama, then completely fucked up Becky's win by making it a roll-up, then put her in a fuckin' three month feud against Lacey Evans. And then on SmackDown they had Bayley win the belt and then...immediately start feuding with Alexa Bliss.

At least when Rousey was on top, Vince wasn't always defaulting to his blondes that can't wrestle. Or do literally anything, in Evans' case.

I'll agree with you although personally Becky does absolutely nothing for me anyway. I will say they've been doing her no favors while also still trying to tell you how great she is.

I mean, she doesn't light my world on fire either, but, hey, she got over, gotta give her credit for that. At one point she was legit the most over thing probably since peak D-Bry, obviously not anymore.

#standupforWWE

His haters might not want to admit it but they need Punk.

Kek Reddit genuinely thinks that AEW are certain to get 1 million viewers for their TV debut. Nobody knows about this fucking hotdog fed.

Vince is a genius businessman

Only way that'd happen is if they got Rocky. Could gappen depends on how much he wants to stick it to Vince/Trips for what happened back in the day, and we know he holds a grudge (HBK).
