They have tons of stories. Its mainly faction based and there is a lot of drama between factions and within factions themselves. Kobe World is a must watch if you wanna get into it fully and start there. Ultimo Dragons first time in the promotion competing in nearly 20 years for his creations

I'd say the show is more family oriented than something like NJPW, there is a larger focus on humor than on presenting the show like a sporting contest which I guess is why they have a large amount of children and women in audience than what I feel like NJPW has.

So yeah they do have promos, not overly long ones, but they're there, and heavily relying on Japanese comedy I'd guess, puns and humor that might not translate well into English.

I think like Larry Dallas said, Dragon Gate is the promotion you want to watch if you want to know where the business is heading. They were doing the current indy scene style years before it became what it is now.
