My big problems with Dave are that he only covers the big promotions (obviously he should since that's what his subscribers pay for), so when he has a report on a smaller fed it's generally weirdly wrong. Stuff like calling Kana/Asuka a former Stardom champion, saying Pollyanna from the UK is Emi Saukra, claiming Shibata's career ending injury was a work, it can be pretty cringe. It's weak as fuck that he's only recently acknowledging Kento Miyahara and he never covers DDT or AJPW or BJW or AAA at all.

I'm with you on this one actually. People did and still do use "gymnastics" to wrestle. Flying squirrel technique, etc. If you ever actually watched old catch wrestling matches they're extremely "gymnastic" because of the nature of the pinning rule, so there was a lot of what we would now call guard, excpet the man on bottom would be in a headstand, vertically, while his opponent was standing in his guard trying to pass or break his posture flat to the floor, and the guy on the bottom tried to backflip out back to wrestlers position or rana the guy in top control with his legs under the standing guys armpits. That shit looked like bugs fighting or something, it was a weird grappling ruleset which resulted in a weird meta that often didn't look anything like what today's grappling looks like.

There is nothing wrong with le flipz if they are logical and make sense. You can't look at Sakuraba cartwheeling past someone's guard and say WRONG, THAT'S BAD AND FAKE.
