There will be 5star Grand Prix tournament starting relatively soon, it is their G1. Wait for it, watch that. You will watch all of the women in the promotion and get the feeling about them within one month. If you like it, you can keep watching, if you don't you just paid for just one month on their streaming service.

I watch Stardom sometimes but I never get the feeling when they do a "big" show, they're basically constantly churning out non-stop low budget shows all over the place. They're like the WWE of joshi, it all blends into one for me.

It's not so much obtaining it, I just want to know a good starting point. Watching a random new Japan show or DDT show isn't the best way to get into them. Sounds like the 5star thing is a good choice.

It's not starting until mid August or something. If you don't want to wait that long, try the draft show in April 13th or 14th which gives you a brief introduction on who everyone is and which unit they belong to as they get drafted. Or just the most recent big Korokuen Hall show here

I'd say begin with the US show during wrestlemania weekend even tho the bottom rope was broken and there is more gaijins shitters than usual it's still a good introductions to the japanese girls. The Stardom draft (also a good starting point) is just 2 shows after. If you do wait for the 5 star GP to begin know that the singles matches are much shorter than the usual big singles matches (all gp matches have a 15 minutes time limit) which can be disappointing sometimes.
