Kys zoomer

yes. He carried a high British bulldog to a classic match

Yeah. Compare him selling for an opponent to anything in the last 15 years. Selling is a lost art but it really makes a match.

How do you carry someone an entire match?

butt the shitman fart

>this exact thread again with the same replies every time
oof

Bret found a fucking way

>I never saw any of his matches
You may now excuse yourself from this discussion, zoomy

>Locks up with Bret
>"I'm fooked, i'm fooked Mr. Hitman."

What do?

How did your mom carry your fat ass for 9 months?

Bret maybe an insufferable old lesbian-looking fuck but YES ZOOMER, HE WAS THAT DAMN GOOD.

You don't. Its a meme people spout to shit on wrestlers they don't like.

His ring psychology was nearly second to none. Everyone talks about the five moves of doom, but his entire repertoire involved working into the sharpshooter. And yeah, his selling was brilliant. You don't need a million fucking moves to be great.

He was a shitter. World Wrestling Federation literally had to do high school gyms when he was champ

It’s fucking easy to watch wrestling. If you don’t wanna deal with the network just look up some matches on dailymotion or some third party shitter

just look at him sell the pure striking

Attached: 1562597037217.webm (560x425, 2.83M)

He sold that Goldberg kick to the face really well.

That's most effective Carder has ever looked

Telling you man. He made everyone else look like a million bucks when they were on the offense.

Yes he was that good. We could sit here all night and list the people who had their best matches with Bret.

Mmmmm pure

WATCH MORE WRESTLING HOLY FUCK

Watch some then why are you asking us to tell you what your opinion should be?

He had an epic match against Fatu in 1993 on Ram

bret's great. check out his stuff with perfect, austin, savage and benoit. the hbk stuff is below both their standards.

You be THE BEST THERE IS, THE BEST THERE WAS, AND THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE... BRET"THE HITMAN" HEAT!

It's not below HBK's.

Mr. Overrated.

he's the greatest professional wrestler of all time imo.

Made every match compelling with any amount of talent his opponent possessed. Made it feel real, had a sick ass aura and a huge amount of charisma. Bret is the GOAT.

if you ask me Kurt Angle had a lot of Bret's qualities and took it to another level Bret wasn't even at in some aspects. Not arguing against Hitman as a GOAT contender though

Angle is definitely a good argument though I do think Bret had better psychology overall.

He was very good, but Canadians pump his tires way too much. Kind of like they do with the band Rush.

rush is also fucking amazing though. They're massively underrated if anything. Also my personal GOAT band. I'm not even canadian tho

This is the same generation that can't even be bothered to play video games and watch others play instead.

Absolute best ever. Nobody ever took it more serious and make it actually believable as a real sport. Matches were extremely realistic and logical. Catchphrase is the damn truth.

Maybe underated by others, but massively overrated by Canadians.

Bret was the HHH of his time. Not good, not great, but just good enough.

Attached: 1560613781473.png (884x625, 586K)

You mean he was a massive self-mark and not a good business man like Kevin "Big Daddy Cool" Nash?

This is the kind of posters Yea Forums is attracting nowadays. God damn take me back to the Yea Forums days. I will even take Paige stalker over this. You goddamn zoomers and trolls get the fuck of my board and that's a fucking shoot cowboy.

Imagine being this retarded.

Bret is easily top 10 all time.

>Great psychology
>Best selling in the business
>Carried even the shittiest of shitters and made them look like a million bucks

Really makes me miss him. RIP Mr. Perfect.

Now who is this lesbian we're talking about in this thread again? Butt Shart?

The H stands for homo

youtu.be/86UqgNjQzg0

top 10 midcarders ill agree senpai. He was a joke in WCW, the promotion that actually mattered

Man, I just went back and watched Austin vs Hart at WM13 and I don't know how you get any better.

What a fucking legend

Hogan had creative control on him too, it was confirmed.

Kevin Nash was one of the biggest self-marks in wrestling history.
>i was just as over as the rock
>i was just as over as goldberg
>i was just as over as hogan
>i should make the most money in the company
>i had a heart attack eric so i couldn't do the job

He was the best there is.

he didn't have a heart attack, he went to the hospital because he thought he was going to have a heart attack and his dad died of a heart attack at a young age. his first diagnosis was a mild heart attack but then it was diagnosed to be high liver enzymes

Bret was the womens soccer team of his time. He thought he deserved the same pay check as the Hulkster even though the Shitman has never put asses in the seats

he wasn't called the 400k Champion for nothing

Stop believing Kliq shoots

For the combination of technical skill and in-ring storytelling, he is top 3 all time, easily.
He had the personality and look of a tag team specialist, though. The sort of guy who can temporarily be the guy while you're looking for THE GUY. Which Hitman basically was for Stone Cold.

>has to job to the giant
>tells everyone he won't do it
>by pure coincidence has a fake heart attack the night he has to job and no-shows the pay per view
>goes over the giant at the next pay per view
biggest self mark in wrestling history

yeah because he was a draw. an actual draw who made money appear. not like bret the shitnig faggot

The Giant got injured and he wrapped up the match

His feud with Owen was based. The steel cage match with the whole family climbing in popped me as a kid. Now I know too much pointless bullshit about wrestling and it has drained my ability to enjoy it. So no, he is a shitter and I hope he sudokus

he was good, but you could never make the argument that he was objectively better than shawn.
youtube.com/watch?v=TfnpLzGMnFE

comparing bret to hbk is like comparing stainless steel to pure silver
of course hbk is better.

His matches against guys like Perfect, Bulldog, Shawn, Austin, Taker, Owen, & Benoit are legit god-tier

the crowd is dead

Was carder ever a draw?

He was the second best wrestler I've watched after Shawn Michaels. Could make literally anyone look good. His promos are also largely underrated. He had a very sincere way of delivering them and held a great deal of realness into them that made you blur the lines between staged and not staged (which is what we ultimately want in wrestling - to believe it's real).

He was a charisma vaccum on prmos unless he was able to mix real life into it. But he was great in the ring (I think better then Shawn.)

Here is him vs 123 kid on a random raw.
youtube.com/watch?v=I_tO49Yu93s

Maybe he wasn't before, but he is literally the single most interesting person you can put on a WWE card today which really says a lot.

Ricky Morton's selling at the Crockett Cup this year was incredible. (In other news, water is still wet.)

If Okada and Bret got 60 minutes it would be the best wrestling match of all time completely unironically

Probably not. Bret was incredible working with people from his era, but his matches with Flair were disappointing.

Wanna call it an outlier. It happens, they had some heat with eachother and it probably effected their chemistry together.
Okada's more of an athlete than Ric so I think that'd contrast with Bret's grounded style better than the pure showmanship of Flair. Both Bret and Okada can flow from face-heel like flipping a switch so the match could go through so many motions

Yup, he carried HBK every match which is something nobody else can ever do. Not even HHH, the guy known to make every top guy look good, can carry HBK.
Not even Ric fucking Flair could drag a good match from HBK.

Bret is literally the best in the world at getting good matches out of men

Based Bret working as hard as he can to get it out of the boys

His matches with Flair were bad because Flair was the one unable to work with people outside of his own time period. Which is something he eventually fixed in the years after his bret matches.

Also the Hart Foundation tags vs Demolition.

sad!

This happened at Starrcade 97 user Nash faked a heart attack to avoiding jobbing before the Stimg Hogan match.

an aside to this shitpost is that the hart v. perfect matches are great

Hi Bret!

Bret would never be that positive about Trips.

You can always spot a drone by their opinion of Shawn Michaels.
>he was the bestest eva omg xd xd xd!!!
Watch more wrestling.

the match got cancelled and pushed to Souled Out, where Nash had to pin him because the giant got injured

Attached: 1562776095011.jpg (1440x1080, 136K)

The match got """"cancelled"""" because Nash no-showed after telling the locker room for weeks he wasn't jobbing.

>never saw any of his matches

Even my Zoomer ass has watched his Mania match against Stone Cold. What the fuck are you doing here, lurk more and know the lore.

>he hasn't watched any WCW

Even in WCW when he was full on in "wrestling has fucked me over and killed my brother" mode he STILL put over Booker T and elevated him to a main eventer.

Kevin Nash's wife called Eric Bischoff from the hospital and told him the initial diagnosis was mild heart attack but the final diagnosis was high enzymes.

I mean don't get me wrong, if we're talking pure entertainment, HBK was better. Nothing quite as funny as seeing a junkie make a show out of themselves.
But ultimately in terms of sheer wrestling skill, Bret was always better, even when a "sober" (kek, like that junkie is ever sober) HBK, HBK still lags behind on the account of his body being ruined by drugs.

Man, I miss Bret's skill ability to make wrestling believable. Even if you knew shit was fake as fuck, Bret had an ability to pull you in anyway and make you think "maybe a fight between these dudes could have gone this way".

Now it's all flippy shit or contrived me choppa you crap. Surs, there's an impressive athleticism in those matches but I don't get sucked in nearly as much.

Bret's the perfect midpoint between dry 70s/80s "wrestling is real" and post-ECW spotfests.

>Bret was the first /pol/tard
BASED

Why does no one get whipped into the turnbuckle chest first anymore like Bret used to? He had lots of little unique touches like that.

I always loved when Bret would do that spot. It always looked fucking brutal when he did it

He's the goat

Kurt had better high spots, but Bret's matches hold up better and were more interesting, imo. No one did small package wins so fucking well. Dude would win matches with a fucking small package and the opponent would still come out looking great.

>Perfect's best matches are against Bret
>Bret's best aren't against perfect.
Come again?

Ricky Mortin is the god of babyface selling.

Bret started doing that in Calgary. Not sure if anyone else did it before him or if it was his invention. Looks so devastating but didn't hurt at all.

>small package wins so fucking well

Agreed. I have no idea how but Bret managed to make small packages look like a real move. Like it was a struggle to lock it in and the opponent lost because they couldn't get out. It was never just a cheat finish like literally everyone else in wrestling.

I remember his reigns and his prime. People forget about his Pre the man days. He had awesome tag team and specialty matches in the 80's. Had a huge presence no matter what the match or situation or opponent. You pretty much also were guaranteed this dude was gonna have the best match of the night. I was a sid mark during those years but I respected Bret . Not a great mic worker but still charismatic .

Had nothing to do with Bret and everything to do with the lawsuits and trials that Vince had to deal with in early 90s. If it was Bret then they would not have been packing arenas in 97 when he was champ.

says how bad everyone else is. He's the smartest retard at retard camp.

he was as good as some today's lower card NJPW guys

So he faked a heart attack got it.

Taker carried HBK to a great match
Then again, he's a good friend of Bret

>shit on the mic
>muh technical wrestling
>muh family legacy
>thinks wrestling is a sacred art
>calls himself hitman despite looking nothing like one
>quits a company because he won't job in his home country
>precursor to the workrate indie faggots polluting the industry today
Yeah that's a crinfe for me

Bret was boring as fuck, no charisma and shit on thr mic. Wearing pink made him look like a fag. He wasn't cool, as a kid back then I didn't give a shit about "in-ring work" and psychology like what all these smarks jerk off about today. Just seeing kicks, punches and people slammed was awsome enough.

Looks, Charisma and Promos is way more important that knowing how to reverse an armbar into a rimjob buster.

There was a reason guys like Malenko and Regal never drew a dime.

The only comparison between Bret and Malenko is that they're both good wrestlers but ok

Look at that fucking idiot Michaels hamming it up trying to suck off their heat

Overselling does not equal great selling

member when he said to Diesel "despite all you're rage you are still just a big rat in a cage"
and when he called Sid a big stupid dummy

Shawn Michaels always emoted

>shit on thr mic

You need to review the summer of 1997 my friend. Bret's Canadian invasion angle had insane heat on both sides of the border, every single promo

‘97 Heel Bret is fucking based

They didn't pack arenas in 97. They literally couldnt even sell out Wrestlemania with him as a main selling point and couldnt even sell out the Calgary dome

>‘97 Heel Bret

Never heard of this, I thought he took his ball and went home and that point. It was probably overshadowed by The Cerebral Assassin creating the Attitude Era by invading Nitro with an authentic WWII era M4 Sherman tank.

MISTAH HITMAN

Nigger if you are talking about Wrestlemania 13 the main event had to be changed to the Undercarder v Sid because Michaels wouldn't do the job. Bret and Austin had the best match on the card.

Sup Hunner

FPBP

An Okada / Bret match would be killer. They have the same style of completely dominating the match, doing everything perfectly and relying on a few moves and the ability to pull them out of anywhere. It would be a chess match.

Based. I wish Bret could train some of the modern wrestlers today to know how to properly sell a match. It's becoming a dying art now without people like him guiding the next generation but he seems too burned out now.

Why don't you stop making this same thread every week and actually watch one of his matches then?

i'll even help you get started op, this is the bret hart vs british bulldog match everyone is talking about
dailymotion.com/video/xl9c6q
everyone else, feel free to recommend some of his other best matches

He really did lay the groundwork to become The King of Kings.
