Alvarez and Meltz too stupid to understand a mixed tag elimination match stipulation

They went on and on about how retarded this is when it is perfectly fine because it had variable outcomes. Either men finish the match or women finish the match and whichever side gets pinned first changes the nature of the 2nd half of the elimination match based on perceived skill level and current level of exhaustion.

It doesn't work that way. It's an elimination match. So when a pinfall happens both wrestlers step outside the ring and let the other two finish since it is a mixed tag match.

BUT

It could have been the men or the women who got the first pin, and then that would have affected who went into the finals of the match to determine the overall winner. Is Becky more likely to beat Zelina than Seth is likely to beat Andrade? When on side gets in trouble they can still tag out for a breather in the first phase, which makes it different than just wrestling two separate matches. In kayfabe the wrestlers had to ask themselves this question and develop strategy around it.

It was retarded because the whole point of an elimination match is that if you get the first elimination your team has a numerical advantage, but in this case Becky got a pinfall and took herself out of the match because she's not allowed to fight Andrade so it was fucking pointless.

The final fall is the only one that matters. But each team had to consider if they wanted the men or women to be in the second half. Kayfabe logic would say Becky should easily squash Zelina, where Seth might have more trouble with Andrade.

It's a dumb stip. Becko should have kicked Almas in the balls to get disqualified (taking zelina out of the match too since the stip is dumb as fuck) to let Rollins have the easy pin.

I would think the other way around, let Seth kick Almas in the balls so Becky and Zelina must face each other. Almas is a former NXT champion with a decent win record on the main roster. Zelina is a complete jobber who has barely even competed in singles matches. Becky should completely run through her like nothing.
