Them empty seats

>them empty seats
You know what, this is good, maybe NJPW should stop trying this western expansion because they are trying to pander to self centered selfish shitters, keep NJPW to the Japanese, fuck the fat gross Americans, AEW and WWE can pander to those shitters since they are shit.

i agree they are so hot in Japan.
Maybe run a better city once a year

Attached: NO TARPS.png (2566x2240, 415K)

UK, AUS and NZ are better places for their foreign expansion.

i want them to succeed in america bc i want them to push wrestlers from around the world, not just japanese guys.

The US is way bigger than any of these countries

I agree

>this was just a tarp preshow for extreme rules

It really doesn't make much difference. They already loved pushing white boys.

Tokyo Dome this year wouldn't have done the record breaking number it did if not for the thousands of foreigners in attendance. They're creating more new fans internationally than they are in Japan. This is reality.

It's because it's in fucking Dallas. They would have sold twice as many tickets if they had run the show somewhere like LA, NY, Philly, Chicago, etc. Of course they got the arena for free, so there's that.

TIME TO RAY THE TARPS

yea g1 supercard in april did like 15k at msg right? they're in dallas for the free arena.

>AUS

Motherfucker, here's some attendance figures for you.

2018 AUS tour (With the Elite):

Adelaide: 2,500
Melbourne: 4,000
Sydney: 7,000
Perth: 2,500

2019 AUS tour (Without the Elite):

Melbourne: 1,800
Sydney: 1,000.
No Perth or Adelaide shows.

No matter how much you spin it, they're clearly hurting after The Elite left and if they want a chance to continue their expansion (They do, seeing as they announced 3 shows in the Northeast and a return to Dallas), they'll partner up with AEW to do it. Although I'll admit the U.K is very, very strong this year.

I agree. If they run this in Florida, Cali, whatever, it probably sells out. But a free arena's a free arena.

Of course you could argue Omega sold a fair chunk of those tickets, but the crowd still showed up and was still 1000% behind everything NJPW did (lolroh), so, who knows.

what's more cringe, having the seats empty, leaving the crowd in their assigned seats, and not trying to cover it up with camera angles or covering the empty seats, bunching the crowd together, and covering it up with camera angles?

NJPW can't afford tarps.

>record breaking number
They were 3000 up (the normal jump)and turned off a large chunk of japs who didn't go this year
keep making shit up tho
The pre-sale for next year is doing better then last year

They have record profits, they don't give a shit.

feels wierd to be in some of these pictures my guys.

AEW is gonna be bigger on the uk market. They have a tv deal there, a weekly show, and are going to do big uk ppv. A big American promotion is always going to gather more interest in the uk.

4800 is a huge house for a company that has very little history in the US. Plus The crowd was engaged and loud.

>Feeling more patriotic for a weeb shit company than his own people
Heh weebs are so funny

It's funny, AEW has basically every western draw they have and they refuse to work with them. NJPWvAEW would be a great touring program down the line, as well.

Misleading pictures, you idiots. This is near the stage. Of course they're not going to have seats open behind the stage.

i'm annoyed at americans for not showing up for this
every time new japan goes to america they usually have a card centered around bullet club and with a bunch of ROH shitters in the undercard, and people complain about it not being a real new japan show
they finally put on a proper new japan card in america and nobody turns up

But the workrate...

>oh man without the Elite, New Japan just won't be the same. Guess i'll make the switch to AEW
>haha, two librarians! Now this is wrestling!

Attendance is down in WWE, AEW, and NJPW. Maybe people should realize that wrestling isnt fucking as popular here anymore.

>i'm annoyed at americans for not showing up for this
You're annoyed at Americans for not wanting to watch a bunch of guys they dont know choppa choppa each other? Not everyone is a fucking weebo.

>the Elite
You mean without Omega.

More people showed up to this than all but one of NJPWs prior efforts(the MSG show doesnt really count, they could probably draw that many every year in the WM city from the extras).
This show actually shows that even without the Elite guys, they can draw decently well in some cities if the card is strong enough. I dont know what people expect from a foreign product that is already niche, in a market they have never run before.
This show drew more than the 2017 G1 special shows, FSU, and SSE. Only the Cow Palace drew more people.
They should just keep aiming for 4-5k buildings, they would sell a shitload of merchandise whenever they come through the US, and a 4.5k house is well above the average for their japanese shows, not to mention the higher ticket prices in the US and merch profits.

When people realize the AEW roster has the depth of a piss leak, they'll come back around

This. I dont understand this obsession either with people saying NJPW should work with them. Who does that really benefit more? What matches can NJPW put on with their help that they havent done already or can do in the future? Omega, Jeribloat, Hangman, Cody and the Bucks have all already performed there. And Mox is there now. Who are they going to highlight? Darby Anus? Luchasaurus? The oiled asian? This only helps AEW who has absolutely no one of note other than the guys I already mentioned.

The funny thing is that AEW main eventers outside of Omega deserve and would probably still be used as midcarders and nothing more, the rest of them wouldn't even be useful for the openers in America.

The fact that AEW is allowing their guys to work NJPW events if they want and can and NJPW is like "whatever" just shows where those guys rank. NJPW can build new guys. Im still wondering who the fuck AEW is going to build. Aside from Hangman who arguably got built in NJPW to begin with. There's nothing but at best midcard talent on that roster like you said

they are letting them work NJ dates when it doesnt conflict, but its still an unknown if Moxley will even be able to lose clean in the G1. Guess we will have to wait and see but AEW could really fuck over NJPW right now if DEAN is unwilling to stand up for his prior commitments.
His life is in the US, pissing off the guys that hold his contract is not the best idea, and having his first post-wwe loss be in a different company might not be in their best wishes. Especially if hes going over Kenni at All Out.

AEW already got BTFO by Dragon Gate of all fucking people with PAC. if Dragon Gate can dictate their booking then I dont see NJPW not doing the same. And how hypocritical would Dean look to leave WWE to gain more freedom and do what he wants only for AEW to tell him he cant work another company? if it does happen they'll make it where Deanetty pulls out weapons and gets disqualified from the tournament for mangling an opponent or something cringe like that. But that'll be a death sentence for any working relationship with AEW

Any AEW relationship looks like its not happening anyway. Melty said that when he asked Ibushi about Kenny and AEW, the NJPW reps in the room were acting weird as fuck, like they didnt want him to talk about them at all.
The last thing NJPW needs is more part time whiteboys coming in for disjointed programs where they show up for 3 shows in 6 months. Especially when you have guys like Shingo, Evil, Sanada, Goto, and now Kenta that will likely be without a program directly after the G1.

And right they should act weird. The guys didnt just leave to another promotion. They formed another one. It's like they want it both ways "Hey we're taking a major stable with us but we still want to cuck your promotion for talent to help us put us over because you cant have a promotion that is literally one stable". AEW has done absolutely nothing to improve its talent base. And theyre going to be on tv soon. I dont get what the thought process here is other than they really thought all these other promotions would cow tow their way of thinking and feed them talent. Dragon Gate was the first shoe to drop that shows no one is playing that game with them.

Not covering the empty space is Chad as fuck, you admit that the show did so-so but you can silence your haters with quality enterteinment

common wealth simps are pathetic.

>N...N...NOBODY CARES BOUT MUH WORKRATE GOOKS!!!!

Studies have shown that people with long, unkempt hair that covers their faces shows extreme insecurities
