What went wrong?

San Fran is a good market.
Dallas is a shit market.
would like to see them run San Fran with a big show again and see how bad they do

Stubbornness and failure to adapt.
This is why it’ll never reach a global scale like wwe

>ii-it's th-the market!

COPETH

>dallas is a shit market
wwe just had their highest attendance in months in dallas literally this week you retard

A shit market for NJPW
According to Dave (so who the fuck knows) Dallas has like no World subscribers

And they made more money because the Arena was free thanks to Mark Cuban

when has dave ever said that?

Like 2 times on the WOR over the last few months but i couldn't fucking tell you what show

~5000 is fine and isn't that far off from what they did for San Fran. I want the AEW partnership, but it isn't like this was a horrible turnout. Plus, they got the building either rent free or very cheap from Cuban, so it's fine. The only real issue is the optics of a bunch of empty seats and nobody should really care about that.

i listen to every wor and don't recall him saying that ever

not even saying you're wrong i just don't remember him saying that at all

>Nobody should care about
I mean, they should. The fucking shot of tana going for the HFF with the entire wall of empty seats behind him was pretty fucking bad looking and make it look pretty unimportant

AEW fans are edrones and never really liked NJPW. They were never true fans just bandwagoners

source on tonight's attendance figure?
I don't want to start throwing it around only to find out some jackass made it up and it blows up in my face

Like I said, it's not great optics, but, like. If you were actually watching the match, you know there were a few thousand people there and they were all really, really hot for that match.

I guess he was right. Nips really don't draw.

White fans only care about white wrestler

Which is great for people already watching and who are already into New Japan. A highlight reel or clip or whatever of this match between the two biggest names in the company being that empty is going to make it seem pretty unimportant to any casual or non-fan that happens to see it on AXS though.

I swear it felt like there was one cameraman there deliberately shooting empty seats. Most of the cameras knew how to frame the shot but some of them either had no idea how to do their jobs or just didn't five a shit.

wow up from 1000 to 1500

No it's simply westerners cant comprehend anything but white.

I blame orange man. Liberal and tolerant people should be more accepting.

they just had consecutive 10k crowds for raw and smackdown though

And they claim they don't want to do that. That their main focus is in Japan. Yet they have G1 in America...

How do you explain Nintendo then?

Checkmate

No elite talent, if you catch my drift.

Should have brought in RUSH for the Hispanic market

Rent free faggot

Who cares. They were very lively and kept the cringe chants to a minimum

>ii-it's th-the market!

Omega led card in Jacksonville can't sell out a 5k seat amphitheater

AEW fans abandoned NJPW as soon as was public that NJPW ditched them for ROH. It's pretty obvious. MSG was the last straw.

A AEW house show in fucking florida drew more than NJPW biggest Western show to date. Retard.

Americans don’t want to watch insect people wrestle, who would have ever thought it? Two nukes wasn’t enough

Thank god, maybe they'll stop trying to enter the oversatuated cancer marked that is America and focus on either getting a dominant presence in Europe/Australia or try to gain control of the entirety of Asia before trying to enter America

>can't sell out anything bigger than a Bingo Hall with or without The Elite
so the take away is that New Japan should just stay in Japan?

AEWdrones pretending that Omega or the Bucks (lmao) were that important to New Japan is hilarious

Has anyone brought up in these threads that a vast amountil of the sections weren't even for sale?

the camera crew shooting empty seats all night was pretty atrocious, but that was really the worst part. I think it probably sold worse than anyone was expecting (I was predicting around 8k), but the people who were there were loud and cared, which is more than you can say for most American crowds. They're already starting to run smaller venues (the Philly venue in September has a capacity of ~1500, less than one tenth of last night), so they've learned their lesson. This was mildly embarrassing for NJPW, but no long term damage was done.
18,000 > 5,000, dipshit. and even if you are dumb enough to think that night one of the G1 was the more important night, 4,800 is basically equivalent to the Meltzer reported number of "around 5,000". Shit, 4,800 might be more than Meltzer's "around 5,000"
yes, but you get laughed down with "LMAO NUJAPAN COPE"

i think waiting so late to annouce matches hurts the sales

A show in Texas during 4th of July week is a bad idea. Harold has no idea.

Not bad for a minor league indie fed like njpw

Americans would rather watch trannies wrestle
