How's that ROH relationship working out for you, Harold? Two companies who can't sell tickets, struggling to sell tickets together. If you had made the call, 20,000 would've packed that arena. Guaranteed.
OH NO NO NO NO NO

I dont get it? Theres like 500 unsold seats? Thats not bad at all.
This would of sold out if they picked a better market.
also who gives a fuck since most shows in japan have sold out or are close 2
>Set up for 6,000 seats in a 21,000 seat arena.
>Still come 1,000 tickets shy of a sellout.
5,000 for the G1 opening when they could've had 20,000 is pretty sad. They're pre-emptively tarping off the balconies, too. So only the lower bowl seats are open, which they're struggling to sell out.
>6,000
i know thats bullshit since i remember dave talking about they put 9000 on sale at the start
They're only putting the light blue and red sections up for sale with a small portion of yellow seats. the blue sections will be tarped off, so will the entirety of the left-hand side of the stage. That's around 6,000 tickets.
The opening G1 day drew less than 4k last year. With less expensive tickets. In a market that wont do nearly the merch that this show will do.
Grow a brain and learn what it takes to run shows 200 times a year.
it drew 7000
>Get the arena for free
>Make a fuckton of money
>Give the rest away for free
What so bad?
If it's not a sellout it's a failure according to Yea Forums
Like this is not like stomping grounds where tickets were 2 for 1 for 27$ And tickets are way more expensive then double or nothing $300 vs $200 for ringside
looking like amateurs who can’t even fill half a building
Ota gym doesn't even hold 7k you moron. And no G1 day outside of the final 3 draws 7k. not even the Osaka dates. NJ themselves announced around 4k. Can you not read?
here, if you really are too thick to look it up yourself.

I think he's confusing the cow palace show with the g1
OH NO NO NO NO NO THE TARPS BUSINESS IS EXPERIENCING A BOOM THANKS TO PRO WRESTLING AHAHAHAHAHAA
im retarded i had night 1 and 3 mixed up
Ticket sales for US shows were nothing special when Omega was around either. There's no scenario where they pack this arena.
AEW did not exist back then. NJPW in the United States would've legitimately been much hotter and much more popular partnering up with AEW than doing it all by themselves. AEW as a name brand, already means more than NJPW. What AEW should've been was NJPW's American branch. They should've sent over their American lions and their top Japanese stars as well. Basically, AEW would've gotten NJPW far more popular in the United States than NJPW ever could have.
Is ROH running Death Before Dishonor this year? Last year they had Lethal vs Ospreay and it was a good match. A city and venue should've been announced by now. If they're holding it in Vegas again are the having issues securing a building because last year they booked the arena at The Orleans and it was a bit too big and didn't sell out.
what more would NJPW actually get out of a working relationship? they already have access to all of AEWs top guys. it's not like they'd gain anything they don't already have.
some retard tried to claim Punk
that was pretty funny
>Thel Elite catapulted themselves from NJPW exposure and made their own promotion while shiting on the whole booking, literlly poaching or trying to convince top talent to go with them and made NJPW panic to at least get Kota.
>Be surprised they don t want to team up with them
there is also the whole CMLL and AAA ordeal, give them a few years until the bad blood drops.
also DDT and NJPW hate each other
i wouldn't be shocked if they made a play for Chase 2 since he got a deal with Juice after they made a play for Juice
any story here?
NJPW guys went over DDT guys and then Tanahashi called them a bingo hall tier comedy promotion that could have been a lot bigger than it is(hes actually right about this imo, they were doing numbers semi-close to competing with NJPW, drew 10k to the Budokan.) Said Harashima should leave and go to NJPW. Basically big leaguing them, and the only win DDT got over Tanahashi in the feud IIRC was a korakuen tag match where he didnt take the pin.
they did cross promoted shows? were they any good?
not really cross promotional shows per-se. More single appearances by specific wrestlers to build a program.

This is the match that Tana lost, his partner was the then young lion Yoh.

There is the Tanahashi matches from DDT. He went over two of their upcoming guys in singles matches then only lost in a tag match.
No promotion is safe from the tarps. Not WWE,AEW,NJPW,ROH,Impact. Literally these are the dying days of the business. Press F
If this was an AEW X NJPW show, it would’ve souled at least 10,000 based on the last two All in, DoN, and now All Out. Face it, GOOKS. ARE. NOT. A. DRAW
National TV exposure aka the most important thing
It's because AEW fans are just edrones. For someone reason more people didnt fly out. That's it.
>Two companies who can't sell tickets, struggling to sell tickets together
But WWE isn't partners with ROH.
