Was he really even that good or just nostalgia overhype?

He was. He could make complete shitters look amazing.
He was fucking phenomenal man...he mastered the lost art of making it seem like he was really getting his ass kicked during matches. But then his comeback would be flawless and perfectly...executed. Carried countless shitters to good matches. Unique look and carried himself like royalty. Easily one of the best ever in any country.
>Was he really even that good
yes
He made a drunk British bulldog look incredible
In the main event at Wembley... Legendary shit
drunk and high at that.
he worked Vince into thinking a shitter that can't wrestle was main-event material
Fooked... I'm fooked.
Bret is inarguably one of the GOATs and if anything has been underrated by revisionist historians.
If you want overrated and overhyped, look at HBK and his buddy HHH.
If anything he’s underhyped. WWE never mentions him on TV and most smarks hate him because he took wrestling a little more seriously than most... ironic since most of those smarks take wrestling so seriously they literally post on an anonymous hot dog grilling enthusiast forum about it all day, every single day
But unironically he’s top 10 at minimum and if he was on your top 5 it would be extremely valid. All you have to do is watch one of his matches and you’ll get it, “the excellence of execution” sounds corny as fuck but it’s literally the best way to describe him in the ring
He was also massively over too btw
>he worked Vince into thinking a shitter that can't wrestle was main-event material
That man? Stone Cold Steve Austin
Mid 90s shitters grew to love bland rasslin. There’s not a better bland rassler than Bret Hart. Not much personality, doesn’t do that many moves, very simple programs, and thought out matches. The type of shit the casual audience has zero interest in. It’s why the ratings were bad. That’s why they had to put the belt on diesel, but Bret has driven so many people off and they didn’t come back..
Hi Bret.
remember when big daddy bitch was on The Simpsons?
He was high on crack.
>wahh he was too tall and ripped and didn’t do 2 minute long gymnastic flip sequences so I could chant FIGHT FOREVER wahhhh
what movies has Bret Hart been in again?
actually the reverse of that, a lot of people hated him when they were younger but realized he was great when they grew up
My sex tape.
It's a Wolfcuck post, dumb anti-smark.
>>wahh he was too tall and ripped
>Bret Hart
Hulk Hogan didn't want to lose the WWE title to Bret Hart because he was a small guy so he lost it to Yokozuna
Yes he was really really good/great. If anything he's underrated these days.
MR HITMAN I'M FOOKED
Still taller and more ripped than the Young Cucks and everyone else smarks adore from the indies
I loved him when I was a kid, Shawn Michaels was a good villain, but he was always coming and going like a deadbeat dad, Bret was there every week and had great matches, champion or not.
He was even better.
He was credible,i wouldn't say that about many wrestlers.
>expecting contrarian smarks to know anything beyond memes
WWE doesn't talk about him a lot because Gaytch is still seething even to this day. His 2005 dvd was the first piece of wrestling related merchandise I got and it's still one of the best things wwe has ever produced.
His matches against Perfect, Hot Rod, Owen, HBK, Austin, Bulldog, & Taker are legit GOAT-tier
>drunk
He was high on crack and hadn't slept in a week.
yes.
one of his bests was WMX against owen. He lost but he never botched a move and was spot on everything.
youtube.com
most guys get all sweaty and too greasy to pull off some of these moves without slipping or over rotating. Not here
no one stays up an entire week idiot
Based zoomer who has never done coke or speed
This is my favourite thing people say about Bret Hart. "He never botched or hurt anyone!"
As if that somehow is important to pro wrestling fans at all or makes the matches better.
To be honest, Bret Hart is just a shorter, less skilled version of Owen Hart, because he never became bros with Liger or any of the other people Owen trained and worked with due to the fact that Owen traveled and Bret didn't.
>never travelled
Retard
nigger
Antidraw
this match is so fucking good.
you dumbass
if you’re seriously asking this i’ll assume you’ve just watched your first wrestling match today
hi butt the shitman fart
massively overrated
Best there is, best there was, best there ever will be.
