nWo did you ding-dong-diddly simp
why was he back in the ring in 2010? and were the chairshots on Vince a shoot?
>gets better on the mic
>started the attitude era
WCW started it
started stealing gimmicks from japan, yes
started overpaying over the hill talent, yes
started imploding because half the roster became part of said stolen gimmick cuz theyre writing sucked, yes
started anything meaningful like the best era of rasslin ever? No
>stealing gimmicks from japan
go fuck yourself weeb
Sabu started it.
It's common knowledge that the NWO was lifted from Japan, you dumb fuck
No it's not, it's just a shitty meltzer meme
well its a good thing i dont listen to anything meltzer says then
its literally him that came up with then, nobody except him in the us was watching jap stuff in 96
Diesel started it when he created the Stone Cold gimmick
He did
He was already producing angles on his magazine because the show was fucking shit. Then Vince laid the magazine in front of him and said we need more of this dammit!
Bitchoff admitted it ya cock sucker
I could see an argument made for the WM13 switch of Austin, and his subsequent push, being the start. So kind of.
People in this thread saying the NWO started the Attitude Era seem to forget that it was in a completely different company. While some of the decisions made that lead to the attitude era were made in response to the NWO is secondary. They're still two different things. The causality isn't 100%.
Different decisions could have been made on either side of the MNW that could have lead to it regardless. Austin was already hot and on his way up. The Austin 3:16 promo was a whole month before the NWO. I don't see any way Austin becomes the top guy without some semblance of the Attitude era happening.
Now, another point for Bret, comes with the thought that we don't get big heel McMahon without Montreal. Austin on top without McMahon is odd to think about.
The Monday Night Wars 'started' the Attitude Era. It was going to go that way eventually. They were putting Sunny in a bikini and in the bathtub to open the show by the beginning of 1996.
onita started the attitude era
He made Stone Cold, Mr. McMahon and protected The Rock, he single-handedly btfo the entire kliq
Bret in 97 is GOAT level shit
butt the shitman fart lol
Yeah, he kinda did. That WM13 crowd was very representative of what the wrestling world was becoming. Once the fans turned on Bret, it was the beginning of a new era. It just didn't have a name yet.
yikes on that spacing
No.
Stone Cold, Nation Of Domination, Mankind, people like that started it.
it's a reddit weeb on the lose
citation needed
He started what killed him.
The kliq and their shenigans backstage created it.
Shawn Michaels ups his ante back stage and then brings it to the front of the house.
Haitch just saw top loved people to the company and pretended to be like them..
Scott hall
The rape guy from summer 1992
And Sean Waltman all went to another company then came back at the perfect time.
Without this setup there was no attitude era.
Now i believe in wwe there is another kliq right now who are doing the same thing but are restricted on TV.
Soon that's going to change
>Made Shawn at WM12
>Made Austin at WM13
>Made Vince at Montreal
Its not even debatable that he created the AE
austin first became a star with the tyson rub you mong
And you think you can bait me with this low quality shit...
have sex
Bret hart heel turn on america was some good television. I think 1997 screwjob and all was one of bret harts best years. You can argue that he had better years match consistency wise or maybe he won more championships/held on to them longer but 1997 bret hart to me is the full package to me.
thats literally when numbers started going up
NWO made the AE is laughable when you take into account that Eric and co cried that they couldnt do the sexual/violent stuff Vince was getting away with on USA. At the most they pushed WWF to a more serious product
Without WM13 no one is ever going to care about Austin at WM14, Tyson rub or not. Without Montreal no one is going to ever take Vince as the big asshole boss
I'm a hot girl and i think you are lame
bullshit, most viewers didnt see wm13, it did a jannetty buyrate, this is just wwenetwork drone history
I wish they took the Screw UP made him come back to wwe in couple of years and just beat the shit out of sean Michaels
Bret Hart if he would of stayed in the attitude era wwf would be the most amazing shit.
So WhoJapan started the attitude era? Because it sure as shit wasn't anyone at WWE.
>The Austin 3:16 promo was a whole month before the NWO.
And his lil promo did shit for the industry. Hogan turning heel brought everyone back who left from the occupation era, and then that snowballed into teens, then lil simp kids, who thought Austin was cool for standing tall every week doing a stunner and reciting the same phrases. The adults and teens left, and the simp kids grew up on the Brand Split and think Edge and Cena are actually good.
I do. Quite often. Im sorry my trivial knowledge offended you.
>protected The Rock
How and from what?
This image shouldn't exist. It suggests that Bret actually had charisma.
KWAB
Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman started the Attitude Era
ECW was literally a paid WWE developmental territory, they had NO impact whatsoever
Nope. It was Brian Pillman in 'pillman's got a gun'
It got killed in the ratings by Nitro
Doesn't matter, dickturd. Still started the AE. It wasn't fag ass nitro. Nitro was permanently stuck in 1994 until they started copying Japan and wwf
back to wwe network
moot also stole the imageboard gimmick, boomcel. You live in a weeb world.
The Kliq
It was Shawn. He was the one pushing for a more real, edgy product. Bret was more about traditional wrestling, I bet he hated most of the shit WWF put on tv during the attitude era.
It was Nash in 1995
Well yeah nobody knew before hand it would be good or it was happening
This thread taught me that Akira Maeda created the attitude era.
Based retard containment board.
Based
Admit that he started the Attitude Era. Admit it.
Based Nash finally letting his anger from 92 out
i wanna titty fuck bastion booger so hard that my pubes catch fire
>they had NO impact whatsoever
0/10 try again.
it's literally just a WWE false narrative set up to sell dvds, it was only watched by the same subhumans that watch jap wrestling and indy stuff now
BASED!
Austin 3:16 shirt is still THE highest selling piece of wrestling merchandise of all time.
Hey man! How are you doing? You're fucking dumb by the way.
Steve Austin shirts are a product made by a company.
Rey Mysterio masks are a literal industry with multiple businesses mass producing them in huge warehouses. They are purchased and owned by people who have never even heard the name Rey mysterio.
You are a faggot.
So fucking what? How stupid are you? nWo built the market up and guess what, THEY HAVE THE HIGHEST selling shirt now cause no cares about that stupid slogan anymore except dumb edrones. Hogan's heel turn created the buzz, brought the interest back to wrestling. WWE never built up the audience, they just took it away during the Attitude Era. Austin was just there. No one gives a shit about Austin if WWE doesn't have to steal away the audience from WCW. No WCW, no nWo, no Bret having to leave because WWE business is in toilet because fans don't give a shit about WWE, no screw job making Vince WWE's biggest heel, no Austin getting the rub from beating up his scummy boss, no Tyson needing to come in to work with nWo ripoff DX. Austin gave his 3:16 speech in a bingo hall and Nitro kept winning the ratings. That's the reality. You paid 9.99 a month to get told a fantasy.
>best era of rasslin
holy fucking cringe
