Was this the last good era in WWE?

Yeah and it was better than attitude

Idk i started watching in 1995 and stopped in 2002 and didnt start again until 2010.

fpbp

I think 05-09 was still "decent" but since then it's but ass

And when do you stop watching again?

2008-09 were the worst years of the century aside from 2017-present

Even RA wasn't that good. It had more bright spots certainly, like the SD6 era or Cena's rise. But Raw for a large part of it was a chore to get through with Triple H dominating everything.

I watched during attitude era and stopped just before benoit died and came back whenever punk was big
But now I've given up with WWE unless asp recommends a good match or nxt
But now I mainly watch other promotions

>gatch's reign of terror and cena burying everyone

it was the beginning of everything wrong today

I stopped a little later, but same thing for me pretty much started back again in like 2010-2011.

I stopped watching Raw 2 years ago about. I usually try to watch the wwe ppvs at least because i have the network but sometimes i just dont give a shit. I stopped watching mania around halfway through because it felt like a waste of time. I tune in to raw when they tease something big (brock cashing in) but tune out quickly when i realize nothing will happen. I dont watch new japan because its on in the middle of the night (although i did get drunk at 6 or 7 am to watch omega/jericho last year.) AEW is interesting but i dont see it b/c their ppvs are always when im at work and dont care enough to watch then afterwards. I will probably make an effort to watch their weekly show when they have actual tv.

I barely watch wrestling and when i do its old stuff, but i read and listen to podcasts about it everyday. More time than i should. Also i stopped watching from 2002-10, but had friends that still did and insisted i watch mania eaxh year, so i did see some good shit from time to time.

Well cya, thanks for reading my blog.

Upvote!!!

massive yikes

The thing that got me back into it was i was taking a bunch of psychology classes in uni, and got bret harts book as a gift, and started reading it and realized there was more to wrestling then i thought. Then i Nexus debuted and people said they were the next nWo, so i watched that and thought "wrestling is cool again" when they were tearing apart the ring. Took me about a year to realize what "pg era" and "super cena/cena wins lol" really meant. Punk era was good tho.

Its so easy to watch full attitude era and free but nearly impossible to watch Ruthless Agression. any websites that got it?

This and based

2008 had Shawn vs Jericho and 2009 had Punk vs Jeff as well as psycho Orton

Kinda, up through 2003 or so. The big boys were still on top, albeit sporadically and with a more tightly controlled script. There were some big hits and a lot of complete flops like chickenshit schoolyard bully Austin and the return of the NWO. Super Hunter wasn't as bad as Super Cena, since at least you weren't supposed to be happy about his reign. Trish and Torrie were hot. Everyone who wasn't in the main event in WWF or WCW by the end of 2000 was a permanent b-lister, but some of those b-listers were still fairly fun, like RVD. I was excited for Lesnar back then, but he cut his momentum just as he got going. The show lost its rough-around-the-edges atmosphere, which was a complete negative.

By 2006, I was just watching out of habit. So I stopped.

Was RVD considered a B lister?

literally just HHH 24/7. it was also the time when all the actual stars had just left so the show was automatically shit from the start. they did at least still keep decent story lines tho

In terms of drawing power? Yes. He was not Austin, Rock, Undertaker, Jericho, Sting, Goldberg, etc. None of those guys were.

was Sting ever really a draw tho? it's also arguable weather Taker was ever much of a draw. seemed like he was always more of a sideshow

I stopped watchmaking at the very beginning of it because I thought it was so shit but in hindsight it was light years better than what we have today

everything looks fucking amazing compared to the garbage we're being fed today

Just because that's when you started watching, doesn't mean it's the best era

This, I started watching towards the mid to end of the AE and was still young enough to not be caught up in nostalgia bias by the time RA started and really didnt enjoy it anywhere near as much as AE. The Monday night wars had a massive impact on the enjoyably of wrestling, even as WCW was clearly dying
