This is literally just the bad guy from Mad Max II

that's been happening in wrestling forever
Thanks for contributing nothing
no problem
name one(1[I]) earlier example
Road Warriors and Demolition ripped off Mad Max as well.
Sting ripped off The Crow
Scott Hall ripped off Scarface
Nothing will top the Shockmaster
Stormtroopers did not wear glitter like that, nor such outfits.
Its transformative
Mean Mark mmmm don't wanna mess with him
...
STOP EXPOSING THE BIDNESS!!!!
its the Mmmmmaster of Pain
RVD is literally, literally, just Jean Claude Van Damme but as a wrestler. It’s almost hilarious how wrestling has appropriated pop culture. It sucks that no one in WWE understands the current cultural zeitgeist other than maybe Daniel Bryan with his eco-terrorist boomer hating gimmick
Its not a gimmick he really is stupid
*based
I remember seeing this guy in a 1970s Bruno Sammartino documentary on Youtube. Not a ding-dong diddly clue who he is but you can't get any more blatant than this.
I'm lost. this guy is suppsoed to be a ripoff of...Hooded Justice? Watchmen hadn't even been written yet
en.m.wikipedia.org
He's a complete ripoff of The Batman after looking it up. The documentary is this one: youtu.be
Hmm...can’t put my finger on it
no no that is mean max on the left
I forget the names but a few wrestlers ripped off Liberace for sure.
Carmella basically ripped off Jersey Shore. Enzo was hinting that Liv Morgan was more deserving of the Jersey Shore gimmick, though Carmella has had a good run with it.
well that's not ripping off something in specific, just a general douchebag culture in existence at the moment
AJPW had dudes dress up as droids shortly after StarWars came out, Even in Japan pro wrestling was cashing in on english pop culture/movies, this shit is nothing new.
All Japanetty was always the shitty little league to New Japan's greatness.
This. The most successful example is Kane. He was based off of Michael Myers. Chainsaw Charlie was inspired by Leatherface. There were a few wrestlers in Japan that were literally "Leatherface." Freddy Krueger, too, I think.
Yep, they had a Jason to. I think that was IWG or whatever sleazy promotion Victor Quiones was head of.
okay but that doesn't have anything to do with the thread so feel free to be a puro autist elsewhere
Luna did not age well
DIMES DIMES DIMES DIMES
Also ripped off the lost boys with the clothing and all that stuff.
Kane is not really much of a Mike Myers ripoff. I mean he's kind of a generic slasher, but then again we never see him actually handle a blade.
JUST WALK AWAY
damn I really like this one
The undertaker was more Michael Myers. Kane was always too emotional and expressive to be compared to Michael or Jason
