I remember the Dynamite Kid promo at the press conference last year before his Dominion title match. That was pretty gut wrenching. But really really good.
Then him against Havoc, asking Havoc to cut his head off and asking him where the fuck is the real Havoc.
Him against Marty for the title at Sakura Genesis.
Him swearing to kill the Dragon before the BoSJ finals.
Him promising that he will take Australian indies to another level.
And all of them were good. I liked all of them. The Dynamite Kid one was especially great, because it made me almost cry.
And that¨s what promos are supposed to be - evoke emotional resonance and make you buy the ticket to the match they are PROMOting.
