I haven't watched since Punk turned heel at Raw 1000, is it really worse than the guest host era? Asking unironically because that was the absolute worst I'd ever seen it.

That's a funny joke

think I remember him saying on twitter before quitting about how the view never changes and lo and behold, motherfucker was right

It’s hard to say.

What I feel like people don’t realise is that although it may just be as bad as it was 9 years ago, today there is so many great, easily accessible alternatives that WWEs flaws stick out more.

The only major alternative 10 years ago was TNA, and that sucked worse than WWE did. Nowadays you have NJPW, NXT and AEW, and when fans get a whiff of those companies and realise how fun wrestling can be when it’s actually fun, it just makes you hate WWE for seemingly not even trying.

I personally don’t understand how a person could watch a NJPW show and then go back to watching WWE. It’s so jarring when you compare the quality of the two.

So his answer is the fucking broken old ass Undertaker?
Jeezus this is Russo terrible.

want more undi haha

you fucking punk bitch simps on this board are going to get the beating of your life when Mark Calloway shows up to each and everyone of your houses individually and pure strikes your orbital bones into soup. Hes goint to do a burn out so loud on his west coast chopper on the way out your dad will never sleep another night again before work.

Yeah pretty much once I got exposure to NJPW it became more and more my focus for wrestling. And once I saw Wrestle Kingdom 7 I never looked back.

It's just hard for me to imagine WWE having a worse product than what it was when I left it. Blows my mind, honestly.

Good point. NJPW has totally ruined WWE for me.

What are you talking about, WWE was still awful and it was very easy to just watch AJPW or NJPW or NOAH ten years ago for free, plus ROH was churning out shows, plus promotions like PWG we’re still making good money, etc. We didn’t watch TNA ten years ago because it was garbage like impact and WWE are now. In fact there was arguably more Japanese product then.

People are just more aware of it now because they’re just more aware of it now. Nothing changed with the availability of Japanese promotions, more people just switched off WWE now and make the effort to watch better wrestling.

If I had to put that down to any other contributing factor it would be the death of television and th rise of streaming services, because now people are more used to the idea of going out of their way to find specifically what they want instead of just turning on the television. NJPW was always there being great and not difficult to find, but now people are more prepared to look, that’s all.
