Seriously though, convince me that Okada is NOT winning the G1 this year.
The Dome main event is a matchup that has been protected for at least a year, which means these matches can’t happen:
>Okada vs Jay >Okada vs Ibushi >Okada vs Tanahashi
So if Ratto makes the finals, then he’s either facing Okada or Ibushi. The former can’t happen if they’re saving it for the Dome, and the latter can’t happen either because they’ve done that match to death already this year.
So Okada is the most likely winner of this years G1
I honestly don’t care who wins. Whoever it is will deserve the rub and we will all get too see a bunch of amazing matches. I just want everyone to do their best.

They ran Naito vs. Tanahashi three times the last time Naito won the G1, they could easily just run it again for the G1 finals.
Having said that, Okada/Ibushi will draw on the final day, allowing *spins wheel* Ospreay to go to the finals and face Naito.

Jay vs Okada has already happened this year, so Jay can’t be in next years Dome main event, unless Okada drops the title before then.
Ibushi vs Okada will not go to a draw because Okada vs Tanahashi is going to a draw. Also Ospreay is obviously going over Tanahashi on that final day.
Dome main events are protected for at least a year. Tanahashi vs Jay and Okada vs Jay can’t happen.

Tana was able to turn back the clock for his Complete Comeback, win the G1 and win at the Tokyo Dome, being the first to cause a title change of the belt there in years. But after that, time IMMEDIATELY caught back up with him and he's struggled to put wins together since then. He lost to Jay, he lost to Sanada in the semi-finals of the NJC, he lost to ZSJ at MSG, he lost to Jay at the BOSJ final.
Time is catching up with Tanahashi, it's time for Okada to beat him in less than 30 minutes now.
