TNA did nothing with him, jobbed him out and gave him a vaguely racist Asian stereotype gimmick. They failed to teach him anything or prepare him for his big push upon his return to Japan. That is the point of excursion, to learn and get better. TNA showed no interest in doing anything of the sort for Okada and that is why there is heat from NJPW towards TNA still to this day. They handed them their next star player with instructions to ready him for the role he would have coming back and instead they turned him into a job boy clown.
