>Tidbits from the recent Voices of Wrestling Patreon audio that aren't Gedo-related:
>"It appears Juice Robinson is done with ROH. He was unhappy working there, and he's not booked going forward. Lanza's unsure what this means for the future of Lifeblood or David Finlay when he comes back from injury
>Lanza expanded to say Juice was just one of the many New Japan talent who generally no longer like working for ROH. They feel it hurts their appeal, and a lot of them don't want to do it anymore."
NJPW has been distancing themselves from ROH quite a bit lately. The only NJPW talent on upcoming ROH shows is Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa and that's only because they have the tag team titles. They're expected to drop the titles in a few weeks. NJPW wrestlers are very openly upset with ROH for stinking up the MSG show. With ROH on the way out, a relationship between NJPW and AEW seems inevitable at this point.
>a relationship between NJPW and AEW seems inevitable at this point that's if they can get the ok from CMLL
Kayden Ward
CMLL's already cool with AAA guys at their shows. They had Pentagon Jr., Rey Fenix at their shows and there was supposed to be a big program with Rush and La Parka but that didn't happen because of complications with the finish. Meaning CMLL has been booking AAA guys without any issues so far. I can see them all squash the beef and finally start making some god damn money together. AEW's goal is to bring all companies together, regardless of petty, political bullshit and I think Konnan would be very happy to squash things. It's definitely all up to CMLL, though.
Jaxon Hernandez
WE CANT STOP WINNING AECHADS
Benjamin Howard
can someone explain to me what AEW can give NJPW? is it just exposure? Like do you really want MJF in a BOSJ?
Jacob Gomez
Kenny, moxly, the bucks(even if you don’t like them), jeriboomer, national exposure in America, sold out shows in America
Ryder Richardson
AEW thirsty for that New CHADpan cock.
Austin Ramirez
Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley (Who's doing huge numbers for NJPW exposure-wise), Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, Shinsuke Nakamura + Gallows & Anderson in the future (highly likely), infrastructure and help in America, a place to send young lions to on excursion, exposure on TNT, on a network available in 90,000,000 households, enormous NJPW vs AEW shows on American soil that would easily draw 60,000+ people in the right market, a promotion that actually has buzz, goodwill and enthusiasm, none of which ROH has.
Lucas Parker
New japan can ALREADY use all of them and the bucks NEVER drew in japan.
Isaiah Morgan
>The bucks NEVER drew in Japan
Yes, retard. That's not the point, this isn't ABOUT Japan, this is about the West.
Andrew Butler
Konnan? fuck that spigger
Asher Green
Kenny, Tag teams (NJPW needs them, badly) National Television and Big PPVs.
Benjamin Mitchell
>Shinsuke Nakamura Would have it in contract that he could to NJPW >Gallows & Anderson Will go back to Japan. They still go on holidays with Tama and Were hanging out with Jay the other day. For fucksake Anderson has the g1 finals date tattooed on him and good chance Mox will be staying with NJPW while working AEW
Kayden Wilson
>Tag teams THANK YOU someone with something of value or not made up bullshit from the "future"
Logan Lee
Gallows & Anderson only left Japan BECAUSE they wanted to work and stay in the United States. They can occasionally work in Japan as part of the Bullet Club and they undoubtedly will but AEW is the American home base they've been searching for AND it has a good relationship with NJPW so far.
Christian Martinez
>Anderson has the g1 finals date tattooed on him That's pretty sad
Jeremiah Long
>good chance Mox will be staying with NJPW while working AEW
Nope, that's bullshit. Once TV starts in October, he's exclusive to AEW unless NJPW cuts some sort of cross-promotional deal with AEW. Basically, if NJPW wants him for the future and the rest of everybody employed by AEW, they'll have to work with AEW to do it.
Adam Ortiz
CMLL doesn't give a shit
Carson Rogers
when mox was asked if he was staying said he didn't want to spoil anything. he's staying
Wyatt Lopez
NJPW's US expansion has a very low ceiling and, let's be honest, no one cares about the young lions or the undercard so a supershow with the best from AEW and NJPW is the only solution for them.
John Perez
>NJPW's US expansion has a very low ceiling They would be fine if they stopped booking building axes gives them for free in shit places
Parker Gomez
Wasn't VoW also the ones that reported Gedo was quitting
Jayden Lee
Fuck the West. Bunch of cuck fans
Chase Brooks
Real valuable insight moron
Blake Hall
ROH is literally fucking dead at this point. They have nothing to offer NJPW.
It’s not entirely their fault because NXT fucked them, but they still deserve some blame for how grossly incompetent they have been this decade.
Kayden Robinson
Seething tranny. You done jerking off to Omega for today?
Logan Williams
Nope, that was @STRIGGA
Ayden Robinson
AEW takes priority. AEW would have to write him off for a while for that to happen. Stop deluding yourself. >G&A Bullet Club already has a HW Tag Team and they're not replacing GoD for fucking Gallows. They're going to AEW.
Bentley Wright
NJPW guys on TNT = More NJPWorld subscriptions.
Xavier Bell
This. AEW would definitely put them over big on primetime television if it meant they got access to key NJPW guys.
Noah Williams
Why do you faggots think he can't work both in the same week? tokyo from vegas is only a 14 hour flight
Adrian King
Do you think that Tony wants him to get burn out/injured on the midle of tv season?
Cooper Thomas
Retard, he signed a multi-year EXCLUSIVE deal with AEW. If NJPW wants him so bad, they'll have to work with AEW to get him because AEW can, at any time, block him from appearing for NJPW once TV starts. AEW WILL prevent Moxley for working for NJPW unless NJPW works some kind of deal with AEW.
Oliver Gonzalez
A relationship is not inevitable because New Japan would become the bottom bitch instead of the dominant partner like they are with ROH
James Price
Do you think Tony had a choice when Mox put it in his contract? the fact he's letting him do G1 while they have a show and he has a good chance he gets hurt while in G1 proves Mox has leverage
Matthew Long
Yeah, but ROH is D-E-A-D. So really, there's no use for NJPW dominating them now. Not even NJPW wrestlers want to work in ROH anymore.
G1 dallas does NOT conflict with an AEW show. G1 Dallas is on July 7th.
Also, how many times do I have to state that he'll be exclusive in October, once TV starts. He's doing G1, yes, but he won't be appearing for NJPW in October going forward unless a deal is made.
Colton Hernandez
he will be in japan doing the G1 while fight for the fallen happens HE HAS POWER AND PICKS HIS DATES LIKE JERICHO
Logan Cooper
Fight for the Fallen is a minor show that was booked before he was signed. He maybe does WK and Dominion going forward. Forget about more G1's unless a partnership is made.
Logan Campbell
ROH unironically has a better roster than AEW and can provide bodies on a whim like for bosj and the upcoming j cup. Not to mention saving their ass on the new beginning shows when they had visa issues. Just because a few foreigners like Jewce are mad about Roh doesn’t mean they will distance themselves, I doubt the actual stars like Naito give a single fuck. Theyll be right back in February for their yearly korakuen shows, nothing’s changing. And cmll is 100x more important to them than AEW anyway
William Martin
>ROH unironically has a better roster than AEW LMAO
Most new japan shows are Friday-Monday while aew will end up on wednesday, he will work as many dates as Kenny did in 2018 and im willing to bet money
Joshua Moore
Who could AEW provide for bosj that’s better than Gresham and Bandido?
Kayden Gray
Good luck working the NJPW style, traveling to the states back and forth and going to tv tapings all during the same week.
Ryan Mitchell
To be fair Bandido is going to end up in AEW since they wanted him but he thought they wouldn't get a good TV deal according to Dave and Gresham will be in impact with his wife soon
Jack Wright
Both of them had a shitty BOSJ.
Jaxon Campbell
The lucha bros Angelico Scorpio Sky
Jose Garcia
They’re not distancing themselves at all, just a few days ago they announced they would have Roh talent on the upcoming super j cup. What juice and god think about this is irrelevant, these guys are piss breaks. NJPW isn’t booking AAA guys and lol at scu compared to the young and dynamic guys roh loaned them
Sebastian Smith
NJPW is better off solo
Ethan Sullivan
AEW need tag teams baby too. We keep getting bucks and lucha bros over and over.
Isaac Hughes
>compared to the young and dynamic guys roh loaned them Who gives a shit about youth? Gresham and Bandido were having some of the worst matches of the night all tournament long.
Tyler Ramirez
>PLEASE CHADPAN SAVE US bumpy wumpy tranny grumpy
Zachary Foster
>ROH has a better roster than AEW I didn't knew that Bully posts here.
Jacob White
It’s nujapan that’s getting cold feet with rohetty ya simp
Aiden Hill
Guys , what even fucking tells you aew wants a partnership with njpw tight now? They sold out in a record time again with a 70k people in the queue. Sorry but they dont need new Japan
Luke White
YA SEETHE
Isaac Brooks
Njpw cant "use them" , the tapentd themselves have to agree and aew will have a day in it as explained by Tony khan. It will depend on their schedule. Dude...
Jayden Brown
cmll is happy with any foreign pesos they can get
Gavin Lee
"Only 14hours" my God are youba legit retard? Also keep deluding yourself guys
Ian Cooper
Because at the moment the only company that can build legitimate stars is njpw. That's why moxley went over there because he needs to prove himself there.
Ryder Butler
This. AEW hasn’t shown any signs of even wanting to work with new japan right now. All they said is their open to working with anyone
Mason Lee
Tony didnt had a choice because he wanst fucking signed with aew on a multi years contract you dumb guck Use your brain. God And if you think Moxley wont work safe to a certain extent you are a fucking joke
Isaac Campbell
They all have clauses explicitly saying they can work new Japan. If they keeps happening njpw has no incentive to work out a deal with aew and will only need to work with the wrestlers on an individual basis. Nothing here points to njpw using anyone past G1 because they don't need anyone
Grayson Stewart
And why is everyone ignoring that he is also doing indy shows in the us? Why are people acting like he only does njpw? The reality is he is allowed to do an indy tour until October and the big shows just like all the aew guys are wrestling in PWG in July instead of doing fight for the fallen or anything else.
Robert Hernandez
You guys are retarded, I legitimately believe that now. Good luck
Justin Bailey
I agree with you but Kenny, Jericho and maybe Mox are already booked for Wrestle Kingdom next year. Hopefully tahts the last of them because Jericho is getting diminishing returns and he's not worth his high booking fee anymore.
Chase Allen
Lol the only company that can build star. Yeah sure. Meanwhile mjf is getting signs on Monday night raw "you are not mjf" sign, after their first show. But sureeeee No Moxley went there for the same reason he is going to NEW and wrestled in the indy yesterday, a reason he explained on TMZ recently, he wants to have fun and get in shape buddy. Lol njpw isnt the only non aew show he is working but sure.
Kayden Williams
See you on October when you wont see any aew guy on new Japan and njpw will still be stuck with the deadass Roh. Aew doesnt need them, that's the cold reality, they sold out ANOTHER show in a nonsensically short time with a 70k queue. They have TV deal, the buzz and meltzer reported it's the new dreamland for most wwe guys ( the richest company in the world) but ey? I guess being delusional is cool
Gabriel Brown
Yeah mjf will surely not get stale working the Midland for eternity because he can't cut in the ring. AEW has an in ring focus. Moxley has to prove himself in Japan otherwise he'll always carry the stigma of being a WWE shitter regardless of what Indies he works in. Kenny was made by tanahashi, Cody was made by kenny. It's sad when the biggest star is jericho who can't work at the same speed as anyone else.
Noah Gomez
>MJF Who?
James Murphy
Ok see you in January when all the aew top talent is begging to be in WK
Liam Sanchez
You have maybe 3 or 4 guys who actually are worth a damn in AEW wrestling wise. They have no long term storylines that doesn't include some manlet shitter like mjf or fucking jungleboy. AEW knows that NJPW on there TV is dimes and helps fill out ppvs. ROH isnt the greatest option, but it isn't the worst.
Jeremiah Diaz
You guys are so funny tho making fun of guys like mjf because "MUUUHHH WORKRATE" dont worry, a dude like mjf is gonna prove exactly why the draw in pro wrestling was never workrate. Wait and see
Brandon Morgan
He's good for TV but Okada is a guy who actually has star presence. Cant believe this board is so fucking reddit that you fags forget about height.
Easton Peterson
No but really who dat?
Luke Ortiz
People here legitimately thinks their random Japanese sawdust can be draw. Sure guys, I would 1 thousands mjf in my roster instead of dudes like naito if I am building an American wrestling company. But sure keep telling yourself that 5 stars have ever had the ability to draw. That's why shawn Micheal couldn't draw a dime in the us and the rock and stone cold are the biggest draw ever. Also keep being delusional about aew talent begging to be in njpw shows. They have sold out another show in 15 minutes around the same time wwe couldn't on one of their ppv. TNT is all over them right now and they are the hottest thing in the us wrestling scene, but yeah keep your narrative. Delusional fags, Keep thinking the USA/western world is Japan
Lincoln Powell
Please keep The Elite shitter out of NJPW, it's actually been great since they've been gone
Wyatt Evans
this
Luis Morris
This. NJPW doesn't need ROH or AEW to be successful.
David Cooper
Nobody gives a shit dude, mjf is a 23 years old guy that can cut a promo like a veteran and handle himself like a legitimate star. On a weekly TV, building an mjf to be your ultimate top heel with time, is 10 times more valuable than having okada. You people are literally overestimating the amount of fuck USA gives about Japanese talents. Why do you think they try to use gaijin for their expansion?....lol
Ayden Moore
Basically an Indy version of EC3 but skinny fat and possibly worse at wrestling
Isaiah Thompson
>aew only wants the American audience For now. But either way MJF is not a believable wrestler or threat. He's the equivalent to the iconics.
Thomas Price
That guy is a mark who got worked. The dates on him are the dates of birth of his children.
Alexander Brooks
Sup Jaaahn. How is Dallas? >NJPW doesn't need AEW to succeed Jericho at Dominion, Moxley and the bump on NJPWorld subscriptions say hi.
Logan Long
BASES
Jayden Richardson
> Moxley and the bump on NJPWorld subscriptions say hi. That was reported before the moxley reveal.
Alexander Green
>That was reported before the moxley reveal. Yeah, Thanks to Jericho.
Chase Harris
An American partner company whose biggest draw isn't Bubba Ray Dudley and whose audience is more than 30 people.
Thomas Wood
See you when he will be selling out arenas while njpw is stocked being partners with a bingo hall promotion called Roh
Leo Young
Friendly reminder that Gedo wanted to sign Hangman, put him under Tanahashi's guidance, and give him a monster babyface push
Jayden Roberts
Gedo is based and always looking for what brings more money. The front office are a bunch of cucks scared of what a couple nips will say about them on the internet.
