AEW CHADS RISE UPPPPPP
kenny is a jobber to the stars. best role for him
it's like taking candy from a mcmahon
Based big draw MJF selling out an entire area of people that want to be called white trash redneck whores by him
How? Literally fucking how? The demand for this product is fucking ridiculous.
Nice.
Vince needed solid competition, maybe it'll be good fo both promotions
Never underestimate the power of autism trying to prove something right and will it to be a success just to stick it to the big bad corporation in Connecticut. Just look at this place for the perfect example
Because people like wrestling but despise the McMahons.
thank you ticket resell sites
>All Out is literally all out
How much did a ticket cost?
marks
It's literally the same thousands of neckbeards that go show to show.
Between like 30 to 160 dollars depending.
Better to have the same audience then dont have any
Am I missing something here with AEW? Pro-wrestling is less popular than ever, you have multiple companies either stuck in place (ROH, Impact) or dieing altogether (Lucha Underground, WoS), the industry hasn't created a mega-star in over a decade and yet AEW's shows are selling out every time.
Is the industry actually creating new fans at this point, or are companies simply getting better and milking the remaining hardcore fans for everything they have?
Based CAWdy going over the tarps.
AEW is just taking away WWEs core audience, and also managing to get lapsed fans to come back. That’s literally all it is.
Going off Dave's ppv analysis from the last observer they might actually be bringing back lapsed fans, there was very little overlap between wwe/roh/impact ppv buyers and double or nothing ppv buyers
People are tired of Vince's shit plain and simple. I mean, there are always gonna be diehards that will never leave WWE but people now want something different and AEW struck at the right time.
Damn, forgot about this. Was going to try and get a ticket, no lie.
Oh well.
Once AEW bacomes a regular thing, this will not be the norm.
Noooooooo! AEW is supposed to FAIL!
We did it again chads
>lapsed fans to come back
[citation needed]
I fit into the lapsed fan demo
AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
All depends how often they run big shows and where they will run the weekly.
Meltzers PPV analysis. We’re not talking massive numbers here, but just the amount that stopped watching over the last decade.
I GOT YOUR TICKETS BOYS
YOU CAN HAVE THEM IF YOU DO SOMETHING NICE FOR ME
It's just a combo of hardcore fans and a new product.
Back when NXT first started touring, they'd sell out in seconds of going on sale. Literal seconds. They started getting into the habit of putting on two shows a day to meet demand.
I'm sure the novelty of NXT has worn off, but this is the same situation that AEW is in now. Tickets selling out quickly is NO BIG DEAL. Don't feed the trolls.
AEW is having one PPV every three months,WWE has like four different shows plus PPVs every month, hype in AEW will drop hard when they will start having weekly shows.
Fucking lmao the absolute state of this cope
maybe WWE should drop some shows then
imagine being such a fucking drone that you're incapable of recognizing dimes-drawing
AEW selling out this fast is simply the demand is greater than the supply right now. If they start selling out TV every week easily, then they'll be cooking with gas.
I think for tv, this is just me bullshitting they are gonna book 8000-9000 seat venues, they're more likely to sell out those
Which is a good thing imo. Keep the venues small because the atmosphere is way better.
think it's a smart move if they play it that way, leave them wanting more
>Scalpers bought all the tickets
Sure thing faggot. Let me know when they can sell out a 100k stadium like WWE.
These guys are going to bleed smarks dry. Surely they will lose money and run out of steam soon, right? Good on these guys tho. I still don't care until the weekly show tho.
Because it's a shiny new thing being peddled to a market of people who feel starved for said thing despite being the exact same shit
Wrestling marks are dumb, basically
Youll regret saying that when aew downsizes in a few years because they dont have enough tarps
Just a question, I'm curious. When's the last time a WWE show trended near the very top in the United States because tickets for that show just went on sale and sold out?
Oh, never? Okay.
Kay. Let me know when WWE does the same. I hope you dont believe their inflated mania attendence numbers that are often off by 10k.
>using PPV numbers with WWE when they have a network
No lapsed fans are returning. AEW is just getting the NXT demo incredibly riled up.

When will people learn that Kenny Omega is a fucking draw? Vince was willing to give the Young Bucks a damn opt out clause in their contract just to appease the elite as a whole. Kenny is a fucking draw in an era where there aren’t any.
Yes but vince got greedy and thought he could do 3 or 4 shows a week for the next 40 years and now has too much pride to stop and only do 2 shows every other week. Hed be admitting defeat.
>Jon Moxley x Kenny Omega
is AEW become a yaoi promotion?
based
LOOK OVER YOUR CONTRACT PLEASE DON'T RUN
It's amazing how badly WWE has conditioned fans into thinking that having national television every week would be a bad thing
Thats cause all the people watching were tweeting about it to wwe wrestlers and its twitter the whole night at all in and thats what theyre doing now. Even if the shows not even good they will chant the same shit they always do and eat it up. And then go to the next takeover show with their bullet club t shirts on
>When will people learn that Kenny Omega is a fucking draw?
Not really, anymore. AEW is just managing to grasp the current zeitgeist of highly disenfranchised American wrestling fans and strangle it.
it's just supply and demand
i get that more eyes on the product would mean more demand, at least short term, but how many new wrestling fans can you really make?
Nigga popped a perc when he wrote this
>missing his point
Are you fucking dumb?
He was saying that the reason they're selling fast is largely due to the event's rarity but when it becomes a standardized normality they won't be able to rely on constant fly-ins and instead have to draw actual local crowds.
Anyone can sell out a high school gym, what's the big deal here?
this is so retarded it's based!
they're just a tshirt company!
hot dogs!
Fans were still disenfranchised with WWE 10 years ago with Super Jhon. There was a TNA then with lots of talent, many of whom are in WWE right now. They never came close to what AEW is doing right now. Therefore you're wrong. It's not merely circumstance but THE ELITE are draws. And they've now made AEW a draw.
>Fans were still disenfranchised with WWE 10 years ago with Super Jhon.
Not nearly as much as they are now. It's literally got massively worse over time, starting in like, 2015.
>There was a TNA then with lots of talent, many of whom are in WWE right now. They never came close to what AEW is doing right now
Dude they were getting current WWE numbers on a weekly TV show. That's like, almost 2m weekly. That's way more impressive than monthly shows.
>Therefore you're wrong. It's not merely circumstance but THE ELITE are draws
Omega was a draw in Japan.
I know they are you fucking retard.
>Seth mentions on a wwe interview that wrestling Kenny is a dream match for him
>DEAN gets one first
And it will unironically be a better match than whatever Jasethy would have done vs Kenny
Mmmm, wouldn't want to mes with Meltzers analysis without the breakdown
E-DRONE COPE MORE
COPE HARDER E DRONE
>what is law of diminishing returns
of course i wouldn't expect outlaw wrestling fans to know sheesh
>Not nearly as much as they are now
But there were 1.5 million viewers for TNA TV, as much as WWE you say? That sounds like quite a bit of people. More than the avg for AEW/BTE YT.
>they were getting current WWE numbers on a weekly TV show
Yet they couldn't ever sell tickets for shit. Guess those TV numbers didn't really mean much as they couldn't bring those people to pay to see shows in a venue. And how about their PPV numbers? 30000 at best? Hmm...
>only Kenny was a draw
Because Kenny was the one who really started selling the t-shirts, not the Young Bucks. Because Kenny's match at DoN was the one that made people cry, not Cody. This just doesn't hold water. 3 major shows The ELITE have promoted together if you count ALL IN. They're all a draw. Denying this denies ever more evidence.
>But there were 1.5 million viewers for TNA TV, as much as WWE you say? That sounds like quite a bit of people. More than the avg for AEW/BTE YT.
Still 75% of their current audience and a wider audience than AEW has.
>Yet they couldn't ever sell tickets for shit. Guess those TV numbers didn't really mean much as they couldn't bring those people to pay to see shows in a venue. And how about their PPV numbers? 30000 at best? Hmm...
See above. AEW's TV won't reach TNA numbers. If TNA predicated it's marketing on anti-WWE sentiment and ran weekly shows in the outset they'd do bomb sell-outs, too, but they began as a weekly product with an audience that surpasses what AEW handles with massively.
>The ELITE have promoted together if you count ALL IN. They're all a draw. Denying this denies ever more evidence.
Current zeitgeist more than any of them. Kenny was a draw in Japan.
Dimes
I'm not into AEW by any stretch, but they need to pull the trigger and go head-to-head with RAW - WWE is ripe for the picking right now.
You are mentally ill
TO AEDUB WITH BILLY GUNN
>Because Kenny was the one who really started selling the t-shirts, not the Young Bucks.
PWT numbers from the past 3 years prove this statement false.
>Still 75% of their current audience and a wider audience than AEW has.
So as you say they had a larger audience to draw money from than AEW, yet they never could draw people to venues to pay or buy their PPVs.
>B-BUT THEY C-COULD M-MARKETING
But they didn't. Useless speculation. Not an argument.
>Current zeitgeist more than any of them
As you pointed out 2 million for a TV show. More people in theory than AEW right now, as you say.
And The ELITE are a draw. You have no evidence to the contrary. While they've together sold 3 major shows and are the foundation of the number promotion in the USA.
Raw is going to be an afterthought for Vince by the fall, and voluntarily going to a weaker night on friday's doesn't make a whole lot of sense for them
>Raw is going to be an afterthought for Vince by the fall
Seeing as how he is preparing SD to FOX with its fucking awful last like half a year i dont really think he even cares about that
That would be retarded. They're nowhere near ready for that. MNW 2 Electric Boogaloo literally made TNA look like a joke.
WWE wasn't near as in a bad place as when TNA did it.
"All the ticketz" *barely 200 on StubHub
And do you faggot understand that when scalpers buy tickets to your show it's a good thing because it means there is a lot of value in it? Scalpers were going crazy in the attitude era and most wwe show had them
Fuck off people
AEW hasn't even done TV yet. They have no experience. And you want them to go head-to-head with the company with the most TV wrestling experience of all-time - and after they're about to bring in more money and exposure every through FOX? Kid, this is why you're posting on a Thai shitposting forum and not in any capacity involved with the wrestling business.
Can I see their livestream if I'm in europe or do I need vpn?
Strike when the iron is hot. WCW did it and looked how that turned out.
If they wait a year or so no one will care.
It's a massve risk, but they have a following that will watch AEW over RAW, doesn't matter which night it is.
WE FUCKING DID IT
Their tentpole shows are likely going to sell out like this for quite a while.
cringe
You missed how one specific company was experiencing unparalleled growth because of a specific brand that made a few specific guys mega stars.
What's the most concerning and surprising thing about today was not just AEW selling out, but just how many people were waiting in line for tickets. They had 75,000 people ready to buy tickets for this show. That's fucking insane.
Scalper bots tho
yeah, you're a retard. They need to build their brand, and not just with smarks. WCW competed well after they established themselves.
>4 hours and 20 minutes
mmmmm I'll vape to that brother rest in peace grrglphph
There is nothing but smarks left. The casuals are long gone.
>mfw Gudas is still in the league
>mfw an AEW show will eventually take 8 hours and 15 minutes to sell out
WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE GONNA DO, BROS?!
this match, and omega's arc in general, does nothing for me
omega having to prove himself over and over again to get a shot, fail, then prove himself again, then finally succeed just isn't as meaningful as it should be, because it's just a rehashing of his njpw arc, but now he's wrestling against a guy like moxley, who isn't going to compliment his style well at all.
>reselling them to smarks
Enjoy losing money like the rest of the scalpers
if that's true than this is just wrestling in it's death throws.
Either way, AEW going head to head with WWE shows on the same night only accelerates the end of this experiment.
They have to try to build themselves first.
Possibly. They ARE just riding a hype train right now, and when that wears off, they'll have to rely on the actual quality of their shows has to carry the company. So far, the shows have been all right. A fun mix of solid upper card matches and the stupidest cringe shit I think I've ever seen in the undercard.
But they could EASILY go the TNA route of the weekly television show sandbagging PPV buys due to how terrible it is.
Reminder that WWE is finna get job out to NJPW and a rugby friendly on August 31st

I miss this meme.
Why didn't they do the show at a stadium? There were 60,000+ people waiting in line for tickets and those people could be buying more than 1 ticket. It could have been at Jaguar stadium.
>In line
>Sitting at a computer
These are two different things. Back in my day, we'd camp out actually IN LINE, in November, in fuckmothering Alaska for stuff. You fucking zoomers disgust me.
Sure, why not? Best Friends, Super Smash Bros, and Golden Lovers do well enough.
just googled the arena name, apparently it seats around 11,000 max. wwe has done way bigger crowds in larger arenas in the past, yeah, but 11k is excellent for a brand new promotion
This further proves that it's not wrestling that's dying and as niche as everyone seems to think, it's the WWE. The two terms have just been synonymous for so long that they haven't been able to comprehend that.
They’re called The Elite for a reason brother.
Site had some bot protection. I got locked out for having ublock and it thought I was a bot.
Moxley vs Kenny

>I NO WANT THING I DONT LIKE DO WELL

Because its good.
Their last show was good.
People bought tickets expecting it to be good, which it very likely will be.
This doesnt take more than even one brain cell to figure out.
And if it's not?
So fight for the fallen still has like half the tickets and they don't have mox for that show since he's working njpw
are they fucked?
FftF has barely gotten any promotion yet. I actually forgot about it. They've got enough talent for a good show even without Moxley for that one though.
Watch. Soon aew talent will go to wwe.

WWE is doing record low ratings and is in a record low creative. It's not some mythical neckbeard going to AEW shows, lapsed fans are just curious to other brands of wrestling.

Raw and Smackdown do 3,000 (if they are lucky) every week retard
10,000 is what a normal wwe ppv will do
>mfw I show up wearing my WWE merch and work all the hotdog-drones into a SEETHE
Cool user, hope you enjoy seeing a different product!
They want they hype of how fast all their shows sell out.
Running a somewhat smaller arena and selling out instantly gives off the impression that your product is white-hot. Even if they could squeak out a sellout in an arena 1.5x as large, it doesn't look as good from a marketing standpoint as selling out in a few hours.
And with AEW being this new they can't really afford ANY risk of overshooting and not selling out a show right now because it will completely tank the buzz around them.
All those companies you listed suck so it makes sense that they don't draw
Nobody will care, but thanks for the money
It means those who missed out will definitely buy the ppv and hungry to get tickets next time
I bought the last PPV. I’ll buy the next PPV. I’ll keep buying their PPVs until I don’t consider it worth my time and money. That’s how free markets work.
Based capitalist user working these jobless e-drones
Nitro was a substandard program for the first 2 years it was on. It took one of the greatest wrestling angles of all time to get things going. And I say that as a massive WCW mark. I remember years of PPVs being headlined by Flair, Hogan, Luger, Savage, and Sting.
rehhhh 75k scalpers. did the scalpers bots also bought the 100k DON ppv right fucking cunt?
