>Before Marufuji debuted, a fan wanted to take a pic with Misawa and handed Marufuji the camera. When he saw this, Misawa got mad and said ''That guy's a pro wrestler, not a cameraman''
>MISAWA: oi, that's a wrestler you just handed your camera to, find someone else!
>FAN: ah!! i'm so sorry.... uh... ah, [Takao] Omori-san!
>OMORI: hey wait, aren't i a wrestler as wel-
>MISAWA: take the fucking pic Omori
Kotaro Suzuki recounts how when Misawa died he had to go back to the hotel to clear out the room he was staying at, and he distinctly remembers a copy of SUPER ROBOT WARS for the GBA. ''he really likes manga and games'' Kotaro says. this is a journey
>Two years before he died, Misawa wrote a letter intended to be sent, in case he died in the ring, to his last opponent. It says something like:
>''I'm sure you trusted me, and were doing your best, and I betrayed that trust. I'm really sorry. Still, I want you to continue wrestling. It may be painful, but I want you to continue.''
>Akitoshi Saito decided to keep going after getting this letter, and to this day he packs it in his bag for every show on every tour.
>that line about Omori Good job falling for that faggot on twitter fanfic.

Wasnt saito on suicide watch after he killed misawa
Xavier Reed
goat wrestler goat look goat
Henry Flores
Kobashi > Misawetty
Juan Morris
Only contrarians and low IQ pick any of the other 4 rather than Misawa.
Thomas Martin
that's probably the most believable part of the post. Kawada for in-ring work Kobashi for character work (well okay cancer twice wasn't really intended) Taue for being the best Jannetty Misawa for all-round greatness
Jayden Ward
I was watching some of his early 90s matches yesterday, did his wrestling style change in the years that followed?
I only played Super Robot Wars Gaiden so i don't know
Jonathan Perez
ive been watching a few of his matches today, man he was incredible
Austin Morgan
I kinda wonder which GBA SRW that he played before he died
Jordan White
>tfw Misawa didn't live to see and witness the Switch Just imagine the sheer joy and elation this broken down old man would be right now ITS NOT FAIR BROS!! ;_;
Landon Nelson
I always imagine him as a J guy

>In a country that thrives on symbolism, there were plenty here. It was noted in some media reports how the last move of the match, called in Japanese Noten Sakasa Otoshi, or Lou Thesz style Greco-Roman backdrop, was the same move Thesz used to pin Rikidozan in Honolulu when Thesz was world champion. Beating Rikidozan, who never lost in Japan, and being the first world champion when wrestling became huge in Japan made Thesz larger than life. It was why the later Thesz vs. Rikidozan matches in Japan were so big. Something to the effect of him dying from the original great finishing move in Japanese culture. Others used it as a symbolic end of pro wrestling, that began with Thesz doing the move to Rikidozan and ended with Misawa dying after the same move.
Japanese pro wrestling ended in 2009. What you are seeing today is just dancing ladyboys.

>A series with a literal dimes repellant as the protag I think Misawa has a better taste than that
Why did he make deals with the Yakuza? NOAH could have been big regardless
Jack Flores
No it wasn't. Outside of Tokyo their shows were pretty bad.For example they would always run Kobe World and the entire upper bowl would be empty, just floor seats. And this was prime NOAH mind you.
Henry Cruz
If a bank won't lend you money you go to the Yakuza. The Yakuza also helped sell tickets for them.
Brayden Young
The Yakuza are involved in every organisation in Japan. You can't operate a company without working with them.
Jack Jones
While I can't really argue with your list, Kobashi and Kawada always "worked" for me more than the other two. But I'm also an Akiyama mark...so...take that as you will.
Overpushed, but dimes doesn't lie though i kinda wish Morizumi didn't ruin fellow dimes machine like Axel by associating him with Kyosuke and his circlejerking. Axel's face main event run in 2001 without Nanbu elements was pure Kino
Connor Turner
Imagine getting old and withering away in a hospital bed with cancer like a simp when you could of went out in the ring like a true based lad
Austin Wood
Great rebuttal kid I hope you didn't spill cinnamon toast crunch on your megadeth shirt while typing
Carter Kelly
I doubt NJPW still has any yakuza ties at this point, being owned by a major corporation and all that.
