I always found indies wayyy too heavy. Regular venture's are about half the weight of indies. Also Venture makes ultra-light and feather-lights. Those are more than strong enough as long as you're not bombing down 20 sets. I had my venture feather-lights for like ten years before the whole deck got stolen. They hadn't begun to rust or crack or anything. I would have grinded them into dust before they ever failed me.

I mean the turning usually boils down to the bushings. They make extra soft, soft, medium, hard, extra hard ,etc. The stock bushings that came with my feather-lites were pretty middle of the road (in a good way). They didn't veer out of control, but, didn't feel like they weren't responsive.
