Shoulda just kept the codebreaker

I want more strikes instead of shit like powerslams that wouldnt hurt a toddler so its a based in my book

Good. I like that you can just knock someone the fuck out to finish the match in the promotion. better than the fucking gay ass anime finishes in wwe

looks unimpressive at first, but maybe has
lots of potential for storytelling

This is bait

Feels great, especially when he'll counter the Rainmaker and become new IWGP champion

im convinced vince sent him as an agent to kill off njpw and aew

>Defects from WWE
>New finisher is Judas Effect
Hmmm

remember
>wins AEW title
>wins IWGP title
>next monday on RAW break the walls down starts playing

It's just further evidence that he's broken down and can't go anymore really. It looks like shit, and the whole 'muh MMA' angle to it makes him look like he's having a midlife crisis.

Which funisher would be legit powerful if used in a real fight?

like we know aesthetically the stunner is the strongest move in the wrestling world but irl logically doesn't really do much besides hurt your own coccyx

doesn't literally every wrestler do a Judas effect when breaking out of a grab from behind?

from Jericho it would be the Walls, if you can apply it that is and the spinning elbow of course

Should be called the Judas Kiss.

1.It hits the guy right in the face/cheek/lips
2. You figure Judas kissed Jesus like a brother before betraying him.
3. Old School Mafia the Godfather would give the kiss of death to someone to signify they were getting killed.
4. Its a play on words having the word Kiss on his finisher. Being the band KISS they Jericho adores.

I felt embarrassed for Omega being pinned by a transitional move.

Its shit and I don't get his edgelord evil jericho gimmick.

In 90s wrestling it would be awesome but this is 2010 and spot monkeys who don't sell a shit has become any thing which is not a powerslam into a meme.

It should just be one of a few potential finishing moves.

All this nonsense in wrestling when the Wrestler needs to land his 1 finisher to get a pin. Their secondary moves never score a pin. Its lame.

For instance Corbin's Deep 6 is awesome. Way cooler then End of Days. But Deep 6 never granted him a pin. And we all know that ever fuggen time he goes for a pin after one. Why pin a guy if Deep 6 never gets the 123? Its crap story telling. And never a shocker.

AEW has a chance to change the landscape. The Judas Effect should have just a high of a chance of to pin someone just as the Code Breaker does to create story and suspense.

Shane literally did a better Judas Effect

I just needs a better setup. There's no reason an elbow strike can't be a finisher, it's just that the way he did it at DoN didn't even make it seem like a real finisher.

its based, a real heavyweight move, codebreaker is malarky

Well put

Like misawa could finish a match with tiger driver or some stiff elbows, kobashi lariat, etc

The main event of the biggest PPV your company has ever run was probably not the best time to debut a spinning back elbow as your finisher. That's something that needs to be established as a finisher first, by beating some people with it on TV or the like. Half the crowd missed the finished because they figured it'd be a kickout and were looking at their phones. Subverting Expectations is fine in theory, but you kind of undercut the climax of your bloody main event doing it.

And for shit's sake, that name is so bad that I cannot put it into words. I get that his band has had exactly one hit, but don't reach so hard for a gimmick that just isn't there. Should have called in the Wallbreaker or Fucking Elbow or pretty much anything other than The Judas Effect. The man spent too much time around WWE Creative, clearly.

Sucks.

>But Deep 6 never granted him a pin.
He has won with a Deep 6 several times, most recently he beat mysterio clean with a deep 6 in april.

>Which funisher would be legit powerful if used in a real fight?

Obviously legit submissions. Many gimmick submissions would hypothetically work, but they're pretty much impossible to apply without a cooperating "opponent."

Clothesline From Hell, Phenomenal Forearm, Luke Harper's discus lariat, and the like could knock someone stupid if you actually managed to nail them for real with it.
