50/50 on this. We know NJPW loves the popular gaijin, but they should keep building Shingo. Both guys are borderline heavyweights at this point.

I’m really interested to see how Moxley wrestles post-WWE. He said on the disgustingly ad-filled Wade Keller podcast that he’s throwing out all of his WWE moves except the double-underhook DDT. I can see NJPW letting him go over Juice, and I’d be surprised if he lost his first match as Jon Moxley “reborn” clean. I’m going MOX.

I see Switchblade winning as NJPW really needs to keep build young stars. Also, I think he’s a great wrestler even though I love Tanahashi.

I'm about to go to sleep. Shingo stays undefeated. Mox takes the belt and is going to be in the G1. I want Switchblade to win but I don't know which result ends up in him getting screwed out of a title match and fighting Jericho.
Shingo is doing a clean sweep of the tournament. Mox is winning or DQ for murdering Juice. I want Tanahashi, but logically White makes more sense.

Moxley probably wins, though I like to think NJPW would stick up for its home boy more. They had AJ win the IWGP on his debut, so I guess it's not a big deal if Moxley wins this. I think his performance is more important than anything else. How will he work outside of WWE style?
White goes over Tana. White has his number and I think it'll just be another "Tana is finished until he goes on to surprise at the G1 and does well" kind of storyline for him.
