While I was just stopping watching Raw and checking results I saw a comment in the thread about it. Someone was saying how Sami Zayn read something and got reading glasses out to do it. He said that it was hilarious and his favourite part of Raw. At that moment I realised that we all desperately cling to anything to lie to ourselves that we like wrestling. A fucking 3 hour show and this dickhead clings to someone putting on a pair of glasses as the highlight. It happens all the time, like Brock using a briefcase as a boombox. I decided not to keep trying to find complete garbage entertaining and watch real things instead.

Benoit's death snapped me out of wrestling. Was still watching Raw and Smackdown weekly at that point. Even watched Heat and Velocity. But after that, I dipped out. Didn't go back until Punk was doing his 434-day run years later, but dipped out shortly after Mania. Moved on to other things and only occasionally dip back in to see what's happening, or if NXT or Mania are in town, in which case I go to the show for the atmosphere. Haven't watched a non-PPV WWE event live on TV in like a decade.

Nothing in the Backlash PPV mean anything. The winners and losers all ended in the same spot less than a month later.

That was a end point, the whole 3 PPV matches were pointless as it meant nothing 4 weeks later as there was no reward or consequences

But I don't. I just don't obsess over it. My goal is to bring as many normies, specifically women into wrestling. Over the past year I've taken 4 different dates to PWG and they all have enjoyed it. I will watch new Japan with my friend about twice year and I'll keep an eye on the major shows and watch them when someone I like is having a match. Same thing with cmll and I'll even watch an occasional AAA ppv when I can. I don't have time for the other stuff. My nephew and niece used to love watching LU when I'd visit my sister and we used to watch it together until season 3. I've liked what I've seen from MLW but I don't have time. The only thing I won't watch is wwe and that includes nxt. It's a shame how. Badly they ruined all the pwg guys

Because I don't want a commitment and I don't think they do either. I'm trying to better my situation the woman I love is trying to do the same. We take a trip twice a year together then go back to being miserable as we build our wealth and miss each other.

Maybe, of all the shows Ive been to live, PWG and LU had the highest percentage of women though and the atmosphere is unbeatable. The only thing I've seen on TV that compares is hoodslam but that's too corny for me. You should try going to a live show sometime, very different from tv.

My main enjoyment doesn't come from actual wrestling, it comes from all these dumb gossips and backstage interviews and shoot podcasts. The actual wrestling is so boring that the real life soap opera drama is more interesting. Evidently a lot of people feel the same, since this board is filled with gossip about this and that wrestler and why they're being buried, or something dumb Vince did or something
