a sad sight, but a well deserved one
rph might be the only show worse than raw on television

Embarrassing. Completely and utterly embarrassing.

need to downsize back to vfw halls and rec centers if i'm being completely honest.

This company is fucking dead. Best bet is to sell it to BTB so NWA can st least get their tv slot

I've drawn more doing community theatre.

As someone who hasn't followed RoH ever, who do they even have on the their roster that could potentially draw?

Seems like their potential stars got nabbed by NXT and AEW

Who the fuck would go to an ROH show? I wouldn't even go if they gave me tickets. When your biggest draw is Bubba fucking Dudley you've got problems.

You mean you don't want to see old TNA gimmicks ?

ROH was actually bretty gud in the mid 2000s. Lots of name talent that would obviously go on to bigger waters.

Used to go to lots of ROH shows but they moved from the fairgrounds to concert venues. Not only killed the vibe but the prices nearly doubled by doing so. I’ve always said they started out pricing their fan base.

Jay Lethal forever stuck shilling knee pads on commercial breaks

The only reason people sign to ROH is to work in NJPW. If they play their cards right in Japan, NJPW will sign them when their ROH contract is up.

Attached: vegas.png (1506x1129, 2.7M)

Why is WWE having a house show so late?

OH NO NO NO NO NO

Attached: AEW chad and New JaChad.jpg (1131x448, 138K)

The problem is that Sinclair barely gives them enough money so they can do tv so it fills airtime on their stations.

Still more than WWE

I'm not sure who the fuck they have because I haven't watched them since like 2008 or something, but I seen they came to Pittsburgh and was considering going a few weeks ago. Then saw general admission tickets were like $50 and said fuck this kek. Not sure wtf they are thinking, there are better indy shows with bigger names for $25 or less on the regular nearby.

Ya see ROH, the thing is, I've got something that'll help you guys out.

Attached: DyvTTXFWkAAEvFm.jpg (1200x675, 155K)

Sucks that Bully Ray fucked up ROH so bad. They really had a chance before that fat tub of goo stuck his nose into it

the problem is their ship has sailed and they kinda of blew their chance when they had a decent roster and started having success. didn't even really do anything wrong since it's not their fault all their guys got poached but once you go up like that no one wants to swallow their pride and go back to being small time or whatever. their just gonna fold one day and fade away.

Imagine running a show when one of your biggest stars is in Japan for BOSJ

To be fair, traffic around Kent on 167 on a Saturday afternoon/evening is fucking awful. I wanted to go see the Defy/Progress show in Seattle last, but fuck that traffic isn't worth anything.

Is Taven still the champ? I cringed when that happened and I didn't even watch RoH. I hope Bandido and PCO are doing alright

Is ROH unironically that bad now?
I really fell off being able to follow every promomotion now day but they werent bad at all a few years ago

It was Bully’s idea to bring in enzo and big cazzerole at MSG, right?

Attached: Screenshot_20190601-221111_Opera.jpg (928x208, 30K)

AEW is eyeing PCO and Bandido only signed with ROH cause AEW was still in it’s beginning stages, so would not be surprised if he bails when his contract is up. Marty Squirrel and Flat earther Flip are guaranteed AEW bound.

Didnt Bandido only sign for 1 year? Feel like I remember hearing that. Should be up soon if so.

If he did he fucking lucked out, no way he stays then

Danielson was always the soul of the company. It died when he left.

Craig takes up like five seats so it'll look more full than it actually is.

Bandido is a shitter who cares what hes doing.

No tarps? Lame

I can't find any source for it being just one year, but even then that would only be up in December if it was the case. Also apparently shortly before signing Bandido had a WWE tryout, got an offer, but turned it down.

I would lick Velvet Sky for hours.

I thought she and Bully Ray broke up? What's she doing in ROH?

yikers

god damn

RUH ROH

I genuinely can’t tell which is more hilariously pathetic ROH or CZW

Fucking Impact draws more of a crowd

Literally more people came to see Bob Holly in the bingo hall at my work in Australia.

Ah I confused him with Rush. His deal is the one thats 1-year.
Tough shits for Bandido.

They will never recover

Did you thank Bob and his sick tribal tattoo that he got in the 2010s for drawing the house?

HAROLD MAKE THE CALL

As a former ROHbot it's really sad to see what's become of a once great promotion.

Fuck oath I did.

Remember when WWE fired Jeff Hardy for being a druggy, and Jeff tried to do the old "I'm a big league guys here in your bingo hall" bit AND push his shitty Willow shit at the same time? People booed him off the building. There was a time when ROH felt like fucking wrestling counter-culture and look at it now.

RoH had everything. They had The ELITE, and the New Japan connection. The hottest combination in wrestling. They have a Stardom connection. If they were serious about maximizing their potential, they would have done what Tony did and offered The ELITE executive stakes in the company and let them run the wrestling side of the business. But Sinclair's ironically not ALL IN on pro-wrestling. So they kept their status quo.

It's for the best that AEW happened.

Washington DC user
This is like getting old Strippers back for one last run at a strip club they act like they still "fresh" when that wall has hit and it is done it is over it is finished only degenerates would fuck.

Its really kind of crazy knowing they have NJPW, Stardom, and CMLL as close allies yet theyve been reduced to this state.

based user respectin the goddamn bizness

How dare you impugn RoH's roster with stars like *checks notes* Kenny King?

Why don't all these identikit indyshit promotions just merge into one big company?

Because they don't want to share the money they make with other people?

Never drew a dime before would never draw a dime today

if this is a real question you are a brainlet.

Tony should have quietly bought IMPACT when it was offered to him and still launch AEW. That way he'd of had a huge piece of US wrestling history to begin a tape library, and all the talent contracts...some of which are very good.

Prove me wrong.

Attached: 198348923.jpg (777x437, 120K)

The TNA brand is cursed.

Matt Hardy got a lot of love though. Then again he was always the better Hardy anyway.

do impact even own their library or is it a similar deal to puro companies where the broadcaster owns it?

Matt worked hard to build rapport with ROH fans, he wasn't just coasting on his name. Big Money Matt remains by far his best character and that shit was an ROH exclusive.

I think Anthem does. I think that was the main point of Jarretts last law suit against them.

Why didn't Cody just buyout Impact or ROH and make it his own promo like AEW?

WWE or AEW will buy ROH video library.
or
NJPW will buy ROH video library for Japanese fans to see actual good usa pro wrestling on NJPW World, all they have to do is region block it for anyone not in Japan like they do for CMLL shows on NJPW World so they don't have to pay royalties for the music rights examples:"final countdown" "mama said knock you out" or just dub over the music and put old ROH matches for everyone to watch on NJPW World.

Attached: 327oas.jpg (1024x682, 143K)

I doubt Cody had that kinda scratch on him. I mean Billy Corgan tried to buy Impact and couldn’t get it done and he had Smashing Pumpkins money.

Cody doesn't have that kind of money.

theyre tainted

It's because the asking price is deliberately too high to deter potential buyers. Impact will never die at this rate because someone is always determined to keep it alive.

This predates Bubba as he started with the book around the time it was known Cody and the boys were leaving. Delirious wasn't doing much better and their relevance was artificially inflated because of New Japan and the Elite. Marty's still there but once his contract up he's joining his buddies. They still have NJPW, but will they stick around now that AEW is off the ground? And I don't think the Stardom relationship will help in any grand manner as well.

w-why don't they move people to the front

NJPW has such a huge amount of leverage over ROH creative I can definitely see them keeping the deal so they can get what they need. Remember they only need ROH for a single Korakuen tour at the start of the year and for a place to send Young Boys so they can get some more experience.
If anything it could help expose NJPW midcarders that are underused relative to their talent in japan.
There isnt a single person in ROH better than Goto, Suzuki, Evil, Sanada, Tanahashi, Ishii, Naito, Ospreay or Nagata and those guys arent holding a title right now in NJPW.

TNA is the cursed ancient Indian burial ground of pro wrestling

The show I went to in Nashville last year had even less people

Attached: 1520816923819.gif (198x200, 1.75M)

holy fuck, things are THAT bad in ROH

>yfw TNA will outlive WWE

Make the switch, Harold.

Bandido is one of the best junior heavyweights on earth

Wrestling in Mexico is nepotism incarnate. People think the Anoaʻi family is bad, but Mexico is on a whole other level. You can't be a famous wrestler in Mexico unless you're related to somebody already in the business, and Bandido isn't. He left Mexico and found better opportunities in the US, Japan, and the UK. Bandido is based.

Jesus Christ, ROH has nobody but themselves and Sinclair to blame. AEW accomplished more in one night than what ROH's accomplished in 15 years. Sinclair is stupid, stupid rich but they absolutely refuse to invest in ROH, which leaves ROH vulnerable to being plucked by WWE and AEW. That's why the Elite left. ROH has a ceiling, AEW doesn't.

You're my favorite tripfag, by the way. All the other ones are tremendous faggots but you're pretty alright.

Sinclair is fucking enormous and own so many tv stations in the US. ROH is basically cheap filler programming for them. That's why they're never going to sell it.

Holy fuck why would ROH ever let skeezers like TBP in? They must be shit out of money and ideas. SHUT IT DOWN

Wasn't ROH a pretty respected promotion at one point in time? What happened?

Got bought out by Sinclair who have zero desire to make it grow. Also all the stars have been plucked by NJPW, WWE and AEW.

Also Delirious is fucking awful at booking.

Paul started scraping up their talent when he decided NXT was going to be big name indie guys, and all they had left was their deal with NJPW. Then Kenny and the Bucks left, so they're basically at the end of their rope. And to top it off, AEW is now basically in position to siphon off what few fans and talent they have left.
The merciful thing would probably be for WWE to buy them out and put an end to it. They're dead, no coming back.

Attached: 58563835635.png (1080x1297, 2.72M)

It's a shame Sinclair doesnt want to get behind it. I still subscribe to cable (hurrr) their weekly show is syndicated and airs on 5 different channels I get, some channels air it twice a week. Granted the tines very from 2 pm to 5am. But i uused to make an effort to watch it when Cody and them were just taking off.

Maybe i should start making the effort again now that PCO is there.

>hangs you on the second rope for 20 seconds while he runs across the ring and back, jumps onto the top rope adjacent to you, does a finger gun pose and 450s you
wow so epic i bet that gets so many pops in reseda every time he does the same move over and over xd
his best match from the whole BOSJ tour outside of his Ospreay match was his one with Narita because he was forced to work with a young lion

Just shut it down already.

AEW truly is our only hope

Hawold make the cawl

Poove me woung

Billy and NWA connection will save them, r-right?

Hey yall I was there but showed up as first match was starting. I'd say around 1000 people were there. Is that a low number for ROH? I dont follow them

No. Nostalgia pops and jobbing everybody to Aldis will only get them so far.

NWhoA?

Yeah you're a piece of shit. You aren't a wrestling fan if you're cheering a company going through hard times. Even so more people showed up to see them than you'd ever get to see you you sad fat fuck. Fuck you.

Go to bed, Delirious.

Yep. They had a show in my town in March and the tickets were more expensive than the NXT show a month before.

OH NO NO NO NO NO

Attached: sosage.png (480x512, 143K)

Hope for waht. Killing NJPW when they partner with them and bring all the trannies to Japan?

Rush, The Briscoes and PCO

ROH’s heyday coincided with a time in WWE where fans assumed that guys like Punk, Danielson and later Steen and Generico had almost no chance of getting signed there. WWE was pretty much exclusively signing generic steroids guys during that period. Seem bizarre to look back on now.

Local indy shitter shows I've been on draw way more than that.

AEW will probably buy it out, and if I'm being honest, will likely make it their FCW/NXT.

Good god I hope the briscoes, PCO, Rush , Bandido , Cobb, Dalton get the fuck out of there and cmll, njpw , and stardom partner up with AEW.

I’m not even a huge AEW fan but the way they’re being wasted in RoH is criminal

Reminds me of the Blue Jays who are owned a huge TV property but are used as only filler with no effort on the product

I got into ROH about 5 years ago with Jay Lethal was dominanting and was into until probably last year

They stopped doing any interesting stories, last thing I found entertaining was Dalton vs Young for the Boys

Why did they get rid of their manager, I liked Truth and Veda Scott etc

Maybe they should stop gouging us on ticket prices, I got three days of impact that it would have cost me for one day or Ring of honor

Imagine mid 2000s being the western partner of modern NJPW.

Attached: 1550505005425.jpg (640x480, 72K)

Barely. I watched Impact this week and it was virtually no audience at all

Hey cuck. Most of us here hate wrestling. I will be celebrating the day vince dies and wwe airs its last episode.

This is honestly quite sad.
ROH is ignored by most of the "wrasslin media" and all the performers float through the other indies or get snapped up by bigger promotions.

This is truly horrible. It goes to show, all these people who claim they love good old fashioned pro-wrasslin really don't. This includes Meltzer, Bix etc.

You are telling me regular people dont want to pay to watch a snake-man hypnotize an invisible hand grenade?

Jesus H. Christ
My man Jay Lethal better get the fuck out, being an AEW midcard act is literally his only chance now.

Attached: 1469563596355.png (336x366, 96K)

>Roh
>Old fashion pro wrestling

What do you cosider old fashion pro wrestling, I consider it 80s style

There's no Hogan, Piper or Savage in that roster. There's no Flair, Dusty, or Magnum in this roster, there not even 80s indy guys like Lawler, Freebirds, Von Erich or Kabuki. Not even women like Missy, Sherri. and Precious.

Old school wrestling was kino, ROH has at most a handful of guys that have an inch of charism, the rest are totally forgettable whos and their TV is mostly unimaginative matches

Cronfe

You guys think Juice gets annoyed having to fly back to the US and do ROH shows? He's got Japanese women screaming for his dick as he dances to the ring with a banger theme song, and then he flies home to this

Attached: 0C319FDF-169C-4F5F-B463-109DC9680B92.jpg (1280x720, 204K)

So AEW used ROH to get a foot in the door with all in and now ROH is dead because all the talent is gone and the smarks spent all their money on DoN?
Great business acumen

>AEW picking up the famously homophobic guys
Slim chance.

Is he retard?

>hates wrestling
>spends 24 hours on a wrestling board
>calls someone else a cuck
el o fucking el

say what you want about czw but those goofy fuckers give it everything they've got, little as it may be, every time they get in the ring. they also run a decent school.

He's black, so...

Jay Lethal was the 'rapist', not the 'homophobe'. Don't get your fake twitter outrages mixed up bro.

I agree with your definition of pro wrasslin and your characterization of ROH.

But the same type of performer that ROH produces is what the wrasslin media claims to love and yet they don't support it.

Oh fuck, I read "Jay" and autocompleted to Briscoe.

The show wasn't that bad. Jeff Cobbs match was cool. The meet and greet prices seemed steep. fuck that 40 bucks for selfie and autograph

They have to try to make money SOMEHOW

Their school can't be good when DJ Hyde is the trainer

If ROH buys the NWA and let Billy take over Creative Team

ROH for the last few years has felt like a discount NJPW that relies on big Japanese stars to draw a gate.
They need to get their shit together and redevelop their own identity.

I wouldn't be surprised if these numbers push Rush into pulling the trigger to WWE since Andrade is in a much more cozy place now, WWE still wants to hire him.
