Lesnar started way later than most. In UFC and other MMA leagues its not uncommon at all for a fighter to have been training and even fighting since being a kid or young teenager. Also Brock was immediately thrown to Frank Mir in his first professional fight who at the time was a very credible former champion who never even actually lost the title since he was out due to injury. Brock did also almost beat him but got caught with a heel lock. Had Brock started a few years earlier its highly possible he could have had a much better record with more fights under his belt. Diverticulitis largely fucked his career for good. Now he is too old and it isn't really worth it for him to fight again.
