Why is AEW getting so much word of mouth and press? It's all anyone is talking about. They haven't even done a single show yet.

That's what's so insane about all this.

Big Poppa Ted is telling all his media friends to get this up and running

What is Double or Nothing?

They've had one show and a pilot show (All In)

I'll only be convinced they're competition for WWE if there's a weekly show and they can keep the same attendance.

They just had the single most important wrestling show in the West in 30 years and arguably the best big show in the West this entire decade. Lastly WWE name dropped them which is HUGE advertising after just 2 days.

Of course it's all anyone is talking about.
Watch DoN immediately.

>He didnt watch Double or Nothing
I feel sorry for ya

yeesh

My boomer dad even asked me what AEW was the other day. They clearly are putting a lot of effort into advertising, as he had seen it during some boomer shows on ITV.

Really makes you think. Every post has the same basic buzzwords and catch phrases. It's almost as if someone with a ton of cash is paying shills.

Go outside

The latter can be argued. The former cannot at all.
This is why people are talking about it

I'm phoneposting at work.

Based schizo e-drone

Well, they're backed by the Khans and WarnerMedia
Their investors are worth billions and billions of dollars and are probably paying for coverage
Their first PPV was also a few days ago and seems to have been a great success

>Why is AEW getting so much word of mouth and press?
they flew all the wrestling journos and you tubers to Vegas on their own dime

Anywhere with decent quality to watch this that doesn't require $50? Don't feel like gambling that much just for it to turn out to be trash.

>last 30
no. last 10 definitely

>single most important wrestling show in the West in 30 years
How do you get so suckered into something that you actually think this? This kind of stuff makes you guys seem like such an idiot/mark.

Legit asking but what other show in the last 30 years had more influence to shift the entire landscape of wrestling in the US since Wrestlemania?

How old are you, if the answer isn't 12 I hate you

Give me an answer or you are just talking out of your ass.

Bash at the Beach 96
Wrestlemania 14

30 years includes '99 which includes WCW

Yeah, BatB 96' is a really good answer even though it comes down to one single monent. Not so much Mania 14 since it was already coasting on the philosophy BatB brought in.

>They haven't even done a single show yet.
They have. It was called Double or Nothing.

It's great that the fans are eating it up. But I'm not putting any faith in it unless they can pick up at least half of the Es current roster. I'm really only watching WWE right now because I like the talent they have

They arent even using the talent they have well.

I totally agree. But, that doesn't change the fact they own who I want to see

>unless they can pick up at least half of the Es current roster
No. Then they're just WWE lite. TNA made this exact same mistake. They were hot as shit too for a while, then they tried to be WWE 2.0

If I wanted WWE, I'd watch WWE. I'm not totally against them signing guys from there, but not for no good reason. That's just stupid.

They won't keep the same attendance for a weekly show. Maybe eventually

Except that the guys I'm referring to aren't the WWE create-a-wrestlers. I'm referring to the Indy guys that migrated over.

>It's all anyone is talking about.
Who? You're wrestling bubble?

they don't need the attendance numbers of their ppv to be serious competition for WWE. That's just silly
