He still wrestles all over the place under a number of different names. He's Gilbert El Boricua in CMLL, El Mesias all over Mexican indies, hell, he even wrestles as Mil Muertes in the US and Canada, just last month there was a Lucha Underground reunion show in Australia called Lucha Downunderground.

But I think he's still tangled in the LU TV contract, so he's not free to do televised appearances yet.

AAA has always had heavyweights like Chessman, Mesías (the guy from your picture), Cibernético, Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Abyss, Hernandez, Niño Hamburguesa, Texano Jr and Taurus just to name a few.

LU created a lot of great characters. It is too bad we can't see the majority of them on a bigger stage. Mil Muertas being pushed to the moon in WWE would be based. Would be Mexican HHH but fresher, newer and cooler.

I mean, in about a year Lucha Underground will be nothing but dust and there'll be nothing stopping anyone to do whatever with those characters.

Some guys are fucked though like Ricochet. He's just so damn bland right now but under the mask as Prince Puma he at least had a bit more going for him and I liked him a lot in LU.

Mess deserved better throughout his career. At the end of LU I was pretty sure he was the best worker they ever had. Fuck LU had some top tier booking. His match against matanza was fucking gold and it didn't even have a finish

Mexico being poor as fuck, almost all lucha rings are repurposed boxing rings, and as a result they're stiff as fuck. Because they're stiff as fuck, lucha developed a style that allowed wrestlers to limit the amount of hard bumps they had to take in order to have lengthy careers instead of bumping their spines into sawdust. Flips are more conductive to that because they can do softer falls and tumbles instead of getting slammed into the mat by power moves.

There's also Cibernetico. I haven't really watched him but his look stood out enough for me to remember him from occasionally watching AAA. Mark Jindrak has also had a better career in Mexico than he did in the US and still has the roidbuilder look he did in WCW.
