I think the key difference is that Gedo's version of burying a guy still let's him be otherworldly over, still the most merch in the company, and have great matches. Gedo doesn't hate money like Vince does to bury a guy the same way. I don't think Naito cares that he doesn't have the title, he has literally everything else he could want.
