Jericho/Jay is the dome match, they have 2 cards to fill. He wont face Naito again. Jay might win the briefcase, lose it to Naito straight away and go against Jericho. They HAVE to book a briefcase switch eventually.

AEW are working with DG and DDT. Why would NJPW give a fuck about how the AEW champion is perceived? If anything it would make them want to beat him for the one-up on AEW.

Jay is too "established" to lose the briefcase, what I am trying to say that you can give the prestige of winning G1 to anyone and then have them lose the briefcase, someone they want in the main event scene, but not at the tokyo dome, someone like ZSJ or SANADA, if Jay won noone would bite an eye at him going to the ME
