Momo is a 6.83/10 wrestler among the native roster, she'd be higher if there weren't a handful of really talented contemporaries that run laps around her in every category. There's better high flyers, there's better ground workers, there's better strikers, there's better visuals and bodies. She brings nothing to the table except youth and the likelihood she doesn't abruptly leave the company.
There's definitely potential to get better and she has been on an upward curve since returning, but she's overrated to hell. I got tired of seeing people worship every one of her boring shitty matches and ignoring her faults, especially the matches that got her carried.

Kagetsu and Mayu are worse than Momo, their matches are mostly move exhibitions and Kagetsu doing the same schtick every time whether she's facing a rookie or a main eventer is old. The Kagetsu vs Mayu main event last year where they gave each other 8 thigh slap superkicks in a row was probably my worst match of the year and was everything wrong with how those two wrestle. Kyona and Momo are easily their two best wrestlers and have consistently good matches with everyone without any duds.

Well, Mayu is injured and not wrestling. So it's pretty sad that he's saying Momo's matches are so boring they are compared to someone not even in the ring. Pretty harsh. Even I'm not sure they're that bad.

SLK and Utami are both good workers because:
a. they grasp consistent selling and body language, especially hard to master when you wear a mask
b. they know how to incorporate their moves rather than "get their shit in". hazuki is someone who just gets her shit in and its why she's not as good as either

Watch her vs Utami for the Future of Stardom championship from 1/3, one of the most underrated matches of the year. Her timing is always good when she counters tall opponents with her sleeper. Yes she does a lot of choreographed dance sequences at the starts of matches with AZM but its only about 15 seconds.

I already knew you were going to mention that one match. I agree with that match being great, but overall? Absolutely not. SLK is one of the guiltiest in the company when it comes to just getting her moves in, even if she's improving at it. One or 2 matches that are an exception to that doesn't change it. Again, I can only assume you haven't watched enough of her matches. Her 619 in particular always seems an awkwardly forced setup.
It's not that bad. Not as bad as Hana when she started this new gimmick and outfit.
I don't think she's really worked on any new moves. Some, like her B Driver, seems to have gotten worse, probably because she's too worried about pulling a Wolf. She does have a better ring presence, though.

I have never ever seen a joshi pull off a good 619. Ever. I don't know how many in total do it, but they've all sucked.

Thoughts on 5/16 (cherry-picked). Although the only thing at stake in Kagetsu vs. Toni Storm was the pride of the competitors, this was a title match-caliber performance that heated up Korakuen. Toni-san goes the distance in another 15-minute draw replete with strong content. [4.25] Bea vs. Hazuki was a bomb-filled sprint between aggressive wrestlers. There was enough space between the bursts of action to allow for tension to build. A great first defense for Beato and one of the stronger singles performances from Hazuki. [3.75] I thought there were cool exchanges in Momo vs. Arisa, and Arisa's expanding her movetset in an interesting way. I suppose Momo plainly losing when she was out-striked during a strike exchange is appropriate against an opponent with a shoot boxing background, but the finishing stretch felt lacking. [3.5]
