Wrestling will never be as popular as it was during Rock n Roll Wrestling or the Attitude Era. Vince McMahon dying won't change that, Triple H taking the mantle won't change that, AEW on TNT won't change that. Wrestling's been lame for over a decade. UFC's growth killed wrestling because MMA has become a spectacle by itself with characters bigger than life, and UFC killed combat sports in America in general, first with the sale from Zuffa and the Reebok deal, cause bald dan needs his money, and then by acting 2 pounds, 2 measures with roids, with letting guys like Jones fight after they piss hot, despite taking roids very seriously. The Monday Night Wars kids should be in the best place in terms of age and income to take the reigns, but most of them have been away from wrestling for so long that it's a fragment of the distant past at this point. Back then MMA have a plenty of interesting fighters with actual presence like Fedor, Severn, Couture, Ortiz or Henderson. Nowadays only Mcgregor that are little bit of interesting (and even then he is just plain annoying instead of actually interesting), even Sapp has more presence and distinct than 99% of UFC rosters nowadays

There really isn't that much to see in wrestling. Around 3 years of viewing and you will have seen pretty much 90% of what the form of entertainment offers.

The best way to watch wrestling is with at least one other person, neither of you taking it seriously, and with a good pizza + beer/soda on the coffee table in front of you. Watching wrestling by yourself is very boring.

Several of them already worked and continue to work in the Irish entertainment and television industry. One of them had a reality show. The story about her rough upbringing is extremely exaggerated.

I think it was a shitty and cowardly thing to ride with someone and buddy buddy them before you stab them.

However heres the dirty end of it. Brody exposed the business, time and again. He wouldn't even shoot on people in the ring, he would just stop cooperating and make the match look like shit. He would hold people up for money and then go walk around the ring before he left just to shit on whoever the promoter was. When wrestling was still "real" you could seriously kill a town with those kinds of shitty antics, possibly a territory if it was a small enough one. That was the case with Puerto Rico, which is not a very big island. If Brody did his bullshit and completely exposed the business it would not only kill that town it would kill the entire business in Puerto Rico. Wrestling was really hot there at the time and Carlos Colon was one of the most successful businessmen on the entire island. Wrestling there couldn't afford to have something like that happen; you can travel the entire length of the island and not even be across some states in the US. There was no "well if we get fucked here we can go a few towns over and still draw" or anything.

Puerto Ricans were such marks that newspapers published interviews and pictures from worked matches to show how crazy and violent Brody was to justify him being murdered. Invader was shoot the babyface as far as people there were concerned because "big scary Brody" came at him and he had to stab him to defend himself. Colon had an entire island packed full of marks and Bruiser Brody would have likely shit the whole business up there. Not saying its right that he did what he did but its not an entirely black and white situation. For the record Colon and Puerto Rico in general was infamous for shady bullshit, late payoffs, holding people 'hostage' by refusing to pay them enough to get a plane ticket home and involvement of organized crime in the wrestling business.
