I think their strategy here is to get more money out of the streamers who will just stream it since that is way too much money for a PPV nowadays for the average fan.

This cope, the price point *IS* shit. Now WWE still held PPV's for a while at full price despite having the network. A lot of the PPV fee is just securing the airtime.

But how did AEW's fanbase actually learn about these wrestlers in the first place? You can bet it wasn't because they paid for new japan world or bought ROH DVDs. The buyrate will be shit because of it.

Considering that I've never heard of a lot of the wrestlers on the card before now, $50 is ridiculous. I want AEW to succeed and would obviously pay to see it, but nowhere near that much.

It's £15 for me, which is just about ok. If they had a few more actual stars it would be a different story, but a promise that this new talent is really good is pretty weak for the price.
