Attitude Era

Would you think this was based if you watched it today for the first time? Was it only good becasue of nostalgia?

Yes
>Was it only good becasue of nostalgia?
No

the rock and stone cold hold up well. Lots of other stuff too. I enjoyed how they’d fit so much stuff into a single ep. much more enjoyable than modern wwe

>Was it only good becasue of nostalgia?

No, it was good because it was entertaining. And it didn't take itself too seriously like it seems today, casuals could enjoy it too back then.

Most of it is still legit good to this day. However looking back at it, I notice how many times in The Rocks promos, he'd constantly use so many chatphrases. 1 or 2 is fine, but when you have about 10 different ones and use all of them in a promo, it starts to get a bit tiresome.

Stone Cold was based.

Yeah. It would be something completely different today.
No. It has cringe and shit moments but the great stuff is still great.

I'll give you the WWF cliff notes
>1985 - 2005 = BASED
>2006 - present = CRINGE

More compelling, entertaining and complex storytelling without even having a wrestling match in one episode of RAW (along with other smaller storylines happening too on same episode)

i grew up a WCW kid and didn't watch most of the attitude era. So, i missed most of 1997-1999 wwf. i rewatched all of it and i will honestly say. it is still entertaining. it has it's cringe moments since it was the 90s but the show overrall was just better.

>i grew up a WCW kid
What was life like in a trailer park?

i got to fuck my sister and cousins.

>had sex
based

it was gross and problematic

I made the switch to wcw in 99. Around the time I got the mayhem cd and they changed the wcw logo and mysterio took off his mask and all the wcw games were shit.

Some storyline were fucking awesome but back then there was so much bullshit and the wrestling over all was a bit lame compared to todays flippy guys and technical wizards

I'm 31

It was good because it was the best era and arguably at its peak in terms of roster

Yes it was based

i'd like it, but nitro was better

>o
i atched it and it was racist and dumb

you're gay

Literally the worst point, WCW was crashing and burning at that point, was never the same show.

The Russo trainwreck was incredible though

Just watched
>Billy Gunn vs, Bradshaw
>Ken Shamrock vs. Steve Blackman weapons match

just been watching it, it's fun, original, violent,

>rewatch some old programs
>Christian & Edge
>Haha that's weird. Must be a one off.
>Constsntly billed as Christian & Edge

The fuck why do people always say Edge and Christian?

Test

When you didn't have youtube it's kino too hear it over and over

Despite what smarks say, WWE really wanted Christian to be a star. He just didn't have it in him

I wonder if WWE is still struggling to get 2 ratings on Neilson in the Christian and Edge universe?

Watching Raw from around this time in 2000 is pretty based. The main event scene, although missing Austin, still had The Rock/Jericho/Angle. Hunter/DX/Steph are definitely all over the show though. Also Too Cool was based.
